― Trust (a hoy hoy), Friday, 1 May 2009 08:26 (seventeen years ago)
I love how, even though 30 Rock is morphing into a more trad-style sitcom, it's still about 100x funnier than anything on television.

RACE CARD
― Batsman (Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved), Friday, 1 May 2009 14:25 (seventeen years ago)
still liked last night's ep but last two weeks have not been up to standard i hate to say
― pitch tips (k3vin k.), Friday, 1 May 2009 14:28 (seventeen years ago)
does liz say 'don't jump' when they jump cut between tracy walking down the stairs slowly and he appears at the bottom? because that's brilliant.
― Batsman (Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved), Friday, 1 May 2009 14:29 (seventeen years ago)
yeah im not sure if she said that or not but i recall her saying something like "we're never going to get anything done if you walk that slow" --> jump cut which i thought was awesome. if she actually said that, it's ever better...gotta rewatch
― pitch tips (k3vin k.), Friday, 1 May 2009 14:31 (seventeen years ago)
frank shifting to fart and the gust of wind in liz's face when lutz farts = classy fart humor
― Batsman (Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved), Friday, 1 May 2009 14:38 (seventeen years ago)
That gust of wind made me lose it.
Unfortunately, this episode seemed pretty weak otherwise and I've really been enjoying it lately. The fact that I was working while watching this may be partially to blame for my lack of LOLs.
― Moodles, Friday, 1 May 2009 14:49 (seventeen years ago)
i liked professional tracy
― p?nico (ice cr?m), Friday, 1 May 2009 14:51 (seventeen years ago)
professional tracy was retarded
yes that gust of wind was awesome, i was wondering if that was just me
― pitch tips (k3vin k.), Friday, 1 May 2009 14:56 (seventeen years ago)
anything involving a monkey = let down
― The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall, Friday, 1 May 2009 15:35 (seventeen years ago)
a) the monkey was great
b) the monkey was a gibbon not a monkey
― Mr. Que, Friday, 1 May 2009 15:36 (seventeen years ago)
TWIST!
― congratulations (n/a), Friday, 1 May 2009 15:37 (seventeen years ago)
anything involving an ape = disappointment.
― The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall, Friday, 1 May 2009 15:39 (seventeen years ago)
when does an appearance by a hominoidea primate not end in someone getting attacked in a humourous and/or ironic manner?
― The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall, Friday, 1 May 2009 15:41 (seventeen years ago)
if tracey morgan decided he was going to open a pie store, where he sold nothing but pies, and by the end of the episode there was a giant pie fight, would you complain about that, too?
― Mr. Que, Friday, 1 May 2009 15:43 (seventeen years ago)
not if it involved the three stooges somehow.
― The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall, Friday, 1 May 2009 15:45 (seventeen years ago)
so suddenly i'm the bag guy for expecting more from the writing for this show?!some peoples' children, i tell you!
― The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall, Friday, 1 May 2009 15:46 (seventeen years ago)
you've always been the bag guy, you just didn't know it
― the anonymity of your username helps to dehumanise! (some dude), Friday, 1 May 2009 15:48 (seventeen years ago)
come on, the gibbon thinking the doll was her daughter (mirroring jenna's own attachment w/the gibbon) was PRICELESS! I loved that so much.
― she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Friday, 1 May 2009 15:55 (seventeen years ago)
I dunno, Jenna wasn't being attacked she was being humped, wasn't she?
Also, Pete trying to make a case for the gibbon instead of Tracy being the star of the show was funnie.
― Trust (a hoy hoy), Friday, 1 May 2009 15:56 (seventeen years ago)
"tracy, i can't live like this, which one of us is going to give in first?"
"the black one!"
― Ømår Littel (Jordan), Friday, 1 May 2009 15:59 (seventeen years ago)
but last two weeks have not been up to standard i hate to say
They haven't. They've surpassed it on the gags-per-minute count and the stories that hold the gags together actually seem thought out rather than just poked in as an afterthought.
― Johnny Fever, Friday, 1 May 2009 18:33 (seventeen years ago)
does anyone else ever wonder what did happen to the old thread????
― bros again on the third day (Lamp), Friday, 1 May 2009 18:41 (seventeen years ago)
i remember searching for this thread and finding the old one.

30 Rock
― Suggesteban Cambiasso (jim), Friday, 1 May 2009 18:42 (seventeen years ago)
I think it was "time jump!"
Also GRIZZ CALLS HER "BETH"
― nabisco, Friday, 1 May 2009 19:00 (seventeen years ago)
Yeah, it was def 'time jump'
― i like to fart and i am crazy (gbx), Friday, 1 May 2009 19:06 (seventeen years ago)
was this the first time they alluded to Liz and Grizz's illicit past?
― dan selzer, Friday, 1 May 2009 19:08 (seventeen years ago)
no -- Kenneth's party
― nabisco, Friday, 1 May 2009 19:10 (seventeen years ago)
i thought kenneth's party was their illicit past.
love that he still thinks she's called beth though.
― Trust (a hoy hoy), Friday, 1 May 2009 19:20 (seventeen years ago)
it's her name!
― nabisco, Friday, 1 May 2009 19:21 (seventeen years ago)
I love any episode with Elaine Stritch:
"I told your girl.""My assistant's name is Jonathan.""I know. I've met him."
― Saula (Nicole), Friday, 1 May 2009 19:51 (seventeen years ago)
reminds of the arrested development bit where lucille gets so excited about calling tobias 'nellie'
― i like to fart and i am crazy (gbx), Friday, 1 May 2009 20:13 (seventeen years ago)
^^yes!

― Johnny Fever, Friday, May 1, 2009 2:33 PM (3 hours ago)
completely otm. i was just thinking about this walking home today. more laffs, less plot plz
Except I meant that as a compliment to the writers, because plotless 30 Rocks are rarely as good as plotted 30 Rocks. I think the last two weeks have been some of the best eps of the season (or even the series).
― Johnny Fever, Friday, 1 May 2009 22:27 (seventeen years ago)
I love this show, and am willing to wait if they need to spend an episode or two setting up funny jokes.
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Friday, 1 May 2009 22:30 (seventeen years ago)
Liz vs. the water cooler had me in stitches.
― Carl Magnusssen (petey_carnum), Friday, 1 May 2009 23:00 (seventeen years ago)
"She bit off my nutsack" vs "It's America's Australia" for best line of the show.
"You voted for Nader" wins best callback of the week.
― James Mitchell, Saturday, 2 May 2009 04:03 (seventeen years ago)
'time jump!' and 'that's just the speech from quantum leap' = a+
― just sayin, Saturday, 2 May 2009 08:05 (seventeen years ago)
that was really weird, did actually "don't jump cut!" followed by a jump cut to Tracy at the bottom of the stairs?
― Nhex, Saturday, 2 May 2009 08:30 (seventeen years ago)
Tracy is such a character he transcends all boundaries and glitches the Matrix, while Liz Lemon is aware? What the what! Sorry, I mean twist!
― Suedey 2, Saturday, 2 May 2009 09:34 (seventeen years ago)
what is this, the italian parliament?
― FREE DOM AND ETHAN (special guest stars mark bronson), Saturday, 2 May 2009 10:15 (seventeen years ago)
no i was wrong all along, she does say "time jump!" but you don't see her lips say it
― Nhex, Saturday, 2 May 2009 10:37 (seventeen years ago)
the build-up to and payoff of the "WHAT THE HELL TIME IS IT?" joke was perfect
― s1ocki, Saturday, 2 May 2009 17:01 (seventeen years ago)
Best joke yet mentioned:
Cerie [to Liz]: I always come to this food area first to find you!
― Trust (a hoy hoy), Saturday, 2 May 2009 18:07 (seventeen years ago)
"Do you want...a hug?""What is this, the Italian parliament?"
