I didn't want to spend lots of money that I don't have, but if they are just being given away, I would be up for it (would need two to drag mate along as well). Would have liked to have seen The Fall, but am too tired for going out on a schoolnight, but could go a couple of gigs tomorrow if it wasn't costing owt more than a few beers. Basically, I am not paying £23.50 to see iLiKeTrAiNs.

Remember Remember were very pretty and fun, if a wee bit rough around the edges, the Fall were "alright", but Desalvo... wowzers, sooo good. Best thing I've seen for ages.

Still plenty of free tickets at Avalanche if any of you do want them after all the above confusion and back and forth. Just drop by at some point today and there should be some (there were 6 unspoken for when I was there last night), though no absolute promises of course...

Thanks krakow, both for the tickets and the Remember Remember tip-off (it's not a festival if a couple of random members of Belle and Sebastian don't turn up on stage somewhere). Had a top night, bumped into a zillion people I know and haven't seen for years (not one of them had paid!), and am now dying of hangover.

I can't see it ever happening again due to a presumed enormous loss, but hey, it was like a wee ATP in the city (the one-out-one-in massive queue for Jeffrey Lewis was the clincher for ATP comparisons), and for that, it has to be praised for effort, if not for execution.

Did you see Jeffrey Lewis then? I thought it would be uber-busy so didn't even try. His new album is awesome though.

Not really, no, we'll sort you out with taxi numbers and that, it'll be fine. Just come back to ours after the wedding and we'll take it from there. Absolutely no problem at all.
