Flagging is an ILX app for Android (in beta)

bookmarking a post in Flagging on my phone does not seem to carry over to the board on my PC

Some people report this with Zing too; this might not be Flagging-specific. If you can figure out lukas I'd love to know

Are there maybe different server/instance values I should use?

Fixed a silly problem with posting replies to threads, guessing this is the bug people are seeing. Also fixed seeing threads from disabled boards. Won't be able to push this update until tonight tho.

yeah, like stet said, that's a known issue for Zing as well as Flagging. I'm going to add some logging to the app and see if I can track it down.

Board issue seems fine now, thanks for fixing that. I raised another minor issue upthread about scrolling, would be great if you could have a look at that sometime (low priority obv)

I'd love to try this out, but I'm on Android 4.1.5 and I can't install it.

I'm not doing anything fancy, should be able to update the app to support that.

am i missing something obvious? is there a way to see updated bookmarked threads?

Cool, it works! But I don't see my reply after I post.

OK, this is a great app. Works smoothly and does exactly what it needs to do. Excellent work, lukas!

I do have a few suggestions:

- Refresh the thread after posting a reply
- It would be nice if the grey area at the bottom of a thread had a textbox to reply immediately
- I'd love a separate bookmark button
- Swipe to the right to go back to the thread list

Some visual things, not neccessary but nice to have:

- Add a '.. months/years passed' separator between such posts
- Maybe add a poll icon in front of thread titles, instead of - poll behind it

The app is great, I especially like the way hidden images are treated. Definitely needs a better icon though, maybe even the standard ILX logo.

As for bookmarks, I can't really figure out what's happening with them. It looks like there's a lag between a post and the updated bookmark, but it's hard to tell.

ok it looks like the bookmarks i've set on the app are now different than those on web? is that a db thing or an app thing

Not sure. Happens with Zing Touch too sometimes.

I deselected "I Love Games" in the list of boards but the deselection doesn't stick, I still see ILG threads in new answers. No offence to the gamers but is there a fix for this?

kinder mentioned a curious bug over there^^. Namely that my mark-up of hidden text (and mine alone?) is seemingly parsed oddly in the app. ie. this sort of thing. Possibly not a huge loss, as I post a lot of gibberish, but interesting nonetheless!

Though having removed a display name since I last posted, just in case, the problem may have evaporated for that^ demonstration!?!?!

Are there perhaps some characters I should avoid putting inside the tags? I'm struggling to find a pattern. I mean, folks can easily click through to the web if they really give a toss, but given that this had seemingly not been a problem before about January 26th it's quite intriguing.
