fwiw i usually delete my own tweets out of shame and embarrassment around 30 seconds after making them

did i miss something wrt 140 character limit? a few weeks ago i started seeing a ton of tweets that are truncated w/ an ellipses and when i click on them in my feed it goes to the tweet but it's still truncated, so i click again and it brings me to a safari window where i have to view the tweet again to see the full thing. it super f'ing annoying, why cant they just show me the full tweet within the app

it has also had the effect of encouraging me to "like" with more abandon - on a more generous, instagrammy tip - and curb my retweets, cause i know some of the things that i like but don't retweet will get picked up by the algo and slipped into followers' feeds anyway

ya i follow way too many ppl so i appreciate ICYMI, but i roll non-algorithmic otherwise (and there should be an option to turn it off. in fact i was under the impression there was one but couldn't find it). found the algorithm was a little too good at spitting my recent trends back at me, creating a positive feedback loop where i would see EVERY tweet by certain accounts, and none from others that i still liked

I'm anti-ICYMI. If I follow you, I didn't miss it. There is never a scenario where it is conceivable that I would miss it.
