would it? how many style sheets have a non-white background color? fuck 'em, make it work for the 80% (or 90% or 99%).

i would go black on black rather than white on white so that you know the spoiler is there and don't accidentally mouseover something you don't want to see. though there's probably some weirdo out there with a black background stylesheet so maybe it has to be configurable

This is turning into a terrible work meeting. I want a quick fix, no configuration!

Still want to be able to page people to threads, by saying @stet what do you think? or something.

ugh man pplains spoiler tags are always annoying and poorly implemented, plus then you get arguments about spoiler enforcement and blah blah, creates more problems than it solves

Black on black is a good idea. I don't know how style sheets work, but could it just be told "take whatever the current text color is and use that"?

possibly set tagged text opacity to a low enough value for you to see that there's text there but not enough to be able to read without highlighting (opacity back to full on hover)

the people who use a terminal emulator stylesheet clearly don't give a shit about spoilers, is my foregone conclusion

probably shit for older browsers and would need media query alternative for touch-select but tried it in dev tools and would work fine with any user-end method of classifying text

(I've already thought about this way too much for someone who would almost certainly never use it and dgaf about spoilers in general)

Embedded tweets: hell yes.

embedded tweets would make, eg, the trump thread more readable, rather than people just posting links without a hint of the content which takes you away from the conversation.

tweets quite often = a photo, that's it, but downloading and rehosting is way too much trouble, and embedding would be much easier to deal with.

When the YouTube clip is no longer there (due to being taken down or whatever) it would be neat if there was a way to display the clip's title as text for reference and just 'video removed' or similar. Same for other lost media too I guess.

Have found myself wishing for "show tweet text in tooltip bubble on hovering over twitterlink" functionality, but also realise that a) ppl can attach like attachments and pics and stuff to tweets nowadays??? b) only really makes sense on actual computers and not so much on other devices, and c) in that case maybe I should just look into writing a greasemonkey script myself or something
