Man of The East (1972)

Super Fuzz brought this to mind:

Probably some other Bud Spencer & Terence Hill movies had this style too.

I loved Super Fuzz to death as a kid, though the VHS we had of it was called Super Snooper. I can recall the theme tune in absolute clarity.

Cold Turkey is interesting...it's popped up a few times in this thread, but each time it's a different poster.

On Buzzr last week, they ran the series of Match Game 75s Alex Karras was a panelist on. Inspired, I jumped onto imdb to research posters, since Alex Karras was kind of born to be on the kind of posters in this thread. The problem is, I couldn't really find any! There was this thing, which tries for the effect (which it seems this film is just screaming for) but cheaps out with photos and falls short.

Gas, 1981 (wikipedia notes that it is "not to be confused with a similar-sounding 1970 film Gas-s-s-s", which doesn't seem to have had one of these posters, sadly)

soref, Tuesday, 7 February 2017 04:04 (nine years ago)

Hahaha I remember specifically searching for Gas-s-s-s once on the hunch that it'd have one of these.

"Recruits" may be unique in offering both a 70s jam-packed and an 80s bold-outline-with-airbrush variation.

lol

I feel most movie posters would do well to include "NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH KING KONG" at the bottom.
