Karen Gillan? Seems like someone I would get mixed up there if I knew who those people were...

Eallach mhór an duine leisg (dowd), Thursday, 9 February 2017 14:42 (nine years ago)

I mean, I know who weird and gilly are - because of surname stuff I was often called gilly at school.

Eallach mhór an duine leisg (dowd), Thursday, 9 February 2017 14:43 (nine years ago)

I don't know who Kieron Gillen is either really, so I guess I don't mix them up as such. But infrequently I hear the name and Ziggy Stardust comes on in my head.

Surprised there's no mention on here of novelists Richard Wright and Richard B. Wright. Anyway, the second one, the Canadian Richard B. Wright, died yesterday.

Was not aware that these were two different people (I am from UK, never been to USA) until I watched the Oscars and tried to work out why people were letting the host get away with having done such shit to normalise Trump with his cute interview last year and was now joining in with the (perfectly valid) criticism like none of that ever happened.

Apparently The 'Burbs and Nothing But Trouble are two separate movies, and not this horrible monster they've merged into in my memory.

Rimsky-Koskenkorva (Øystein), Monday, 10 April 2017 18:25 (nine years ago)

Nothing But Trouble had Jackie Gleason.

The 'Burbs was the one where he and Shelly Long buy a house together.

Thank u 4 excellent tips — I will never be confused ever again.

The 'Burbs was some movie I knew nothing about, so it was a weird reversed Fight Club moment for me just now when I read the synopsis and kept reading about all these scenes that I was sure were from Nothing But Trouble. OMG, they were two movies all along! Two awfully upsetting movies that I blame for a significant portion of my childhood nightmares.
