I don't know how it happened, but I never, ever come within a kilometer of any place where a celebrity might possibly be caught, either dead or alive. We inhabit different universes.

this has always been my life until this job (thanks forks!). the only famous person i'd ever spotted before the past month or two was jared leto once at the mall in rochester (weird, but it was totally him).

jumped on the subway with two youngish co-workers and lo and behold, bebe neuwrith was sitting across from us on the train. she gets off, a few stops later i idly ask if they noticed, and they not only not know who she is, but are unfamiliar with the show Cheers.

i'm not even 30 yet but feel so old.

I really enjoyed it. The music wasn't all that, the lyrics a bit meh, but the story was great fun and it looked fantastic. If brassy west end musicals are your thing then I'm sure you'd like it.

Preston that Barima saw = Samuel Preston. He's the lead singer of the staggeringly-appropriately-named Ordinary Boys, but is "famous" for being on Celebrity Big Brother and marrying the non-celeb one who was on it who is more famous than him, despite not actually being famous. Or something.

My friend had a dog called Preston. It's a nice name for a dog.
