xp yeah my account says it joined sept 08, but going through my feed and clicking on everyone now, i can't even find people who joined earlier than me so i have no clue who i was following back then.

i think maybe i originally signed up just to follow dril

joined november 2006, it was mostly just screwing around. I remember using it like a weird opt-in/out group text at times (it could text you updates if you had that turned on for particular friends)

I remember turning on notifications on the weekend or when a handful of friends were at the same music festival and we'd post things like "heading out to the bar at 8" or "going to go to the north stage at 3pm" as kind of a general meet-up thing

just reading opinions and interacting didn't become a thing until after most people had modern phones

some friends had t-mobile sidekick phones, remember those? lol

i held out on social media entirely until 2010, then i went in...

i'm new to twitter, joined in 2015. facebook though i've been on since 2004 :/

that's weird. thirteen years of my life have been documented there?

yeah same for me but i never really posted on facebook much ever

i've noticed some prominent accounts i follow have started using Tweet Delete to delete all their tweets after 48 hours... super fn anoying

i wld prob do that if i was some sort of professional person with a public profile, ive said some rude things on that site

only makes sense if you only tweet about current events

fwiw i usually delete my own tweets out of shame and embarrassment around 30 seconds after making them

did i miss something wrt 140 character limit? a few weeks ago i started seeing a ton of tweets that are truncated w/ an ellipses and when i click on them in my feed it goes to the tweet but it's still truncated, so i click again and it brings me to a safari window where i have to view the tweet again to see the full thing. it super f'ing annoying, why cant they just show me the full tweet within the app
