now that i think abt it i use twitter for personal/joke/weirdo type stuff and simultaneously as a journo/political replacement for google reader. there's a lot of crossover but hmm

i have a feedly account and i never look at it :/

yeah I have a subscription to some google reader replacement thing and never look at that, either. idk if the moment for aggregation like that has passed because of twitter or what

twitter + too many tabs + delete the tabs w/o reading = google reader

no way i read a ton more! the rss era was great, fu @jack

I read almost all tweets. Follow 740.

i close all tabs and use Pinboard now it's working out so far

ive prob said this on here before but one thing that made twitter way better for me was i unfollowed almost all organizations and now mostly only follow actual people

this universal acknowledgment that nobody reads links combined with people trying to write blog posts through a series of numbered tweets (you know they're going to be good when someone drafts nothing and starts with 1/X) is really the worst

i strongly believe that 90% of text on internet shouldn't be written in full paragraphs prose form but are better expressed as just like, idk pullet points, like it's so annoying to read writer-ing over and over again, so tweetstorm is a welcome step towards that tho obviously really impractical and terrible in a lot of other ways

idk like celebrities? most arent that good at twitter but a few are, my feed is prob like 90% journalists and normal folk

best iOS 10 feature is auto-expanding tweets if you message the url to someone

so many times wanted to bother non-twitter users w/tweets but you know they're not going to click on a url and taking a screenshot and sending is so bad

unfortunately it looks like flopson has a long way to go to catch up to the tweet stealer

deleted my account last year (?) and haven't missed it at all. i do have an account sitting there, and i'm following maybe six friends and some ~brands~, but nothing compels me to open it any more unless i want to search for something that's happening (tram crash, smoke erupting from the next block etc), but even then it's just a wall of guesswork/hot takes from randoms and unrelated spam ("The Top 10 iPhone 7 Problems shittyurl.com/kwjbsf #iphone #pneumoniagate #kanye #paralympics #tramcrash #obama")
