well you don't have to use airpods at all. You still have the alternative of (1) some beats bullshit, lol, (2) lightning earpods (3) the dongle (annoying but it's free), or (4) presumably regular old Bluetooth headphones. So no one is going to buy the airpods but it's not so bad for the phone.

I'm not going to spend that much on headphones, but it's worth saying that plenty of people do. There are Beats buds around that price.

hi as someone who has been using Bluetooth to stream music to my hearing aids for several years, there are many times I've just taken them out and put in regular headphones solely for this reason

also will that lightning adapter work w/ my damn headphone remote buttons (volume up/volume down/play-pause) bcz it BETTER, that's all I can say!!!!

big xp and no one cares but I annotate a lot of PDFs because I'm a prof and a journal editor and so I get sent a lot of PDFs that need my comments. and I don't like reading PDFs on a landscape screen at a desk, and don't like annotating with a keyboard

it does seem insane that there isn't even an option to have some sort of clip on mechanism or third party loop accessary so you can hang them around your neck when you're not listening, guess apple is counting on third party solutions. i bet there's a kickstarter for a loop adapter before the night is over

apple removes headphone port and increases slimness of iphone 7 and in the process forces users to carry around a cigaratte pack-sized case as well
