adore posted a periscope thing the other day & said that that Rayven Simone said something pretty harsh in judging that set her off & she just kinda spiralled from that with michelle etc
but of course she didn't say what it was so idk
but from the rest of the periscope it also sounded like she deluded herself into thinking that the judging wouldn't be as harsh because she thought she's got her shit figured out, this time it will be easier
i felt bad for her kinda, but i think she's just not that kinda queen

TBH, I was never a fan of hers, but never would've expected her to leave the way she did.

Tatianna was awful but Roxxxy was downright embarassing. She didn't even get Alaska's voice right, which sould be the easiest part.
I knew it wouldn't happen, but how shocking/awesome would it have been for Alaska to eliminate Roxxxy for doing such a bad job at imitating her!

I really do love the new Phi Phi though. I did some digging on her a while back and read how there was this awful combination of her playing up her bitchiness for the show, getting a REALLY bad edit (apparently she had a lot of great moments and friendships that didn't wind up in the show), and was also like not in the best place or something? And was really dismayed by all of the backlash she got

I thought the backlash on Season 4 was pretty deserved. She seemed completely nuts. Just this mad barking little dog that wasn't even really interesting drag-wise, but went after the show's two most popular queens, Willam and Sharon.

However I don't understand the fans that still hate her and won't try to keep an open mind to see how she's grown in the last 4 years. I can't say I'm really impressed so far though unfortunately.

Also I don't buy that scene where she's supposedly trying to play mind games with Roxxxy and Alyssa. I think the production told her to go tell them her opinion or the girls asked her themselves and they edited it out to create a story. Either way it seemed really fake and obvious.

I have NEVER understood the extent of the hate for Phi Phi. To me she was a fairly standard reality villain in her season -- unremarkable and predictable, not some all-consuming demonspawn or anything.

I do like her cosplay drags.

Also I don't think Tatianna was awful -- her Ariana Grande definitely didn't measure up to her Britney -- at least not compared to Roxxxy's completely unprepared, tossed off Alaska.

I do too. I saw her at Pride in Montréal last month and I thought she was great. She sang live and danced her ass off. Totally one of the highlights. I was hoping she'd turn it out like that on the show.

RuPaul just won the Emmy for oustanding host for a reality program!!! This is so deserved, he really is the best, funniest, smartest, most oustanding host on reality tv. Condragulations!!!

kinda annoying how they're forcing phi phi to be the "villain" in this -- nothing she's said has been any shadier than anyone else but they put scary droney bass and that woodblock noise underneath her comments

alyssa's camera dress was amazing. her and katya might be my favorite queens.

Great episode overall, but I was a bit frustrated with the judging. Why all of a sudden go back to a Bottom 3 and how the hell did Katya end up in it?? She was awesome in the challenge and while her runway wasn't the best, it was hilarious and was a real transformation.

At this point Alaska is so above and ahead of the competition it feels like we're having a Raja situation, which is saying a lot in an All Stars setting. Her Betty Davis and Lil Poundcake were pure genius I was screaming laughing in my living room. And that lipsynch omg!

I'm still a bit upset at who she elminated though, it really was time to break up Rolaskatox for good.

wow, I keep trying to figure out who's gonna go home next that it didn't even occur to me Alaska is just coasting here, but you're totally right.

oh ***POTENTIAL SPOILER ALERT*** next week is gonna be a stand-up comedy thing though so hopefully Katya will totally slay?!?

They are producers, that is their job. It's a reality show, not a retreat. They don't want you to be a better person they want you to lose your shit on camera and like leading a horse to water you gave them that

I feel bad for Phi Phi too. It took her 4 years and a lot of work to redeem herself with the public so I can understand her disapointment. Unfortunately I think she's making things a lot worse by acting so defensive online. I didn't even think she looked that bad on the show before I started hearing all the drama that was happening on social media. I don't get the "fans" who take it so seriously and act 100 times worse than she ever did.

On a positive note, I'm so happy Alyssa and Tatiana are back. They both looked gorgeous and KILLED that lipsync.

The thing that bums me out is that being villainized on the show translates into IRL consequences like death threats and blacklisting and all of that shit, and that Phi Phi is actually a really vulnerable person who wants to grow and be better and shit

Which is why I think giving a pass to the producers ("of course they're going to edit things someone sez out of context") is a morally problematic argument.
