The relative time only bothers me on zing touch because you have to click on the individual post to see the date-time

I like that one. Extra entertaining on days when it throws up an old clusterfuck.

every day when you sign in you are randomly assigned the username of another poster. you need to post as that person -- each poster's identity becomes an ongoing, collaborative performance.

Ability to "like" posts - but every upvote costs you yourself a fp, so they'd be used sparingly. Then a button to display most-liked posts across all boards. Breadcrumbs to the gold in them thar hills.

Ability to edit yr post if nobody has posted behind you - generally, then, would be confined to fixing rypod.

i would go black on black rather than white on white so that you know the spoiler is there and don't accidentally mouseover something you don't want to see. though there's probably some weirdo out there with a black background stylesheet so maybe it has to be configurable

ugh man pplains spoiler tags are always annoying and poorly implemented, plus then you get arguments about spoiler enforcement and blah blah, creates more problems than it solves

Black on black is a good idea. I don't know how style sheets work, but could it just be told "take whatever the current text color is and use that"?

possibly set tagged text opacity to a low enough value for you to see that there's text there but not enough to be able to read without highlighting (opacity back to full on hover)

black on black looks gross how about grey on grey, otoh this opacity idea might have legs.

the people who use a terminal emulator stylesheet clearly don't give a shit about spoilers, is my foregone conclusion

probably shit for older browsers and would need media query alternative for touch-select but tried it in dev tools and would work fine with any user-end method of classifying text

(I've already thought about this way too much for someone who would almost certainly never use it and dgaf about spoilers in general)

Better still, how about people who don't want to read spoilers don't click on the thread relating to that TV show, film or whatever.
