Nanette Fabray is 95. You could have a cast reunion of the 1939 film The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex and you'd have at least two invitees: Nanette Fabray and 100 year-old Olivia de Havilland

two weeks pass...

This just happened to me. Was reading a thing about Keeping Up Appearances and thinking it unusual they hadn't mentioned Patricia Routledge's recent death. Which apparently only happened in my mind. I am CONVINCED there was loads of stuff on the news about her and what a brilliant credible actress she was when I only knew her from KUA - am I thinking of someone else? Fairly sure I'm not confusing her with Cilla...

Cosimo Matassa comes to mind.

Which reminds me, Dave Bartholomew is still around.

Someone mentioned Chuck Berry's new album on ILM, and I was a bit surprised to find out him, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Little Richard are all still alive. For some reason I thought LR at least had died a while ago.

Tuomas, Thursday, 20 October 2016 10:55 (nine years ago)

Once I saw this thread was bumped, I knew it would be someone mentioning Chuck Berry. I had the exact same thought process as you

Vinnie, Thursday, 20 October 2016 11:26 (nine years ago)

I mean, this would be like Scott Joplin releasing a new album in 1956.

Apparently Carroll Baker is contributing to the new Criterion edition of the '60s Something Wild. She's 85 now.

He was just on Gilbert Gottfried's podcast, on which I'm sure he managed to drop even more F-bombs than the host.

Orson Bean's ex-wife Carolyn (1960s & 70s) is apparently still alive also. Their daughter Susannah was married to Andrew Breitbart when he died in 2012.
