Body language on both sides is pretty miserable.

kell surprise (country matters), Monday, 5 October 2009 22:32 (sixteen years ago)

lol hendry and williams playing some of the *worst* snooker i have ever seen

Man!! (Man!!) (country matters), Thursday, 8 October 2009 13:25 (sixteen years ago)

was at o'sullivan v burnett on tuesday, and it was pretty poor. there seems to be a lot of wild inconsistency in playing at this year's grand prix. o'sullivan v higgins was pretty epic tho, and i'm gutted i had a ticket but couldn't go.

also otm re: hendry v williams

Higgins vs Robertson is a great match. Higgins had 100% pot success in the first four frames yet went in 2-2 at the interval. Robertson hit three centuries and led 5-3. Higgins did the old Mr Resilient and took it to a decider.

Higgins was clearing up to take it and knocks in a quality last red but accidentally hit the pink in. 7 points in it, on the yellow, nerves jangling everywhere.

Suggest Gandhi (onimo), Saturday, 10 October 2009 15:48 (sixteen years ago)

wow, that was hella drama. hoping for Ding v Robertson in the final.

The Devil's Avocado (Gukbe), Saturday, 10 October 2009 16:12 (sixteen years ago)

Looks like you're going to get your wish - Mark can't string enough points together.

Higgins - Robertson was awesome. No matter how great their respective techniques, its wonderful to see it coming down to those scraps of luck that anyone can randomly make the most of - it simply came down to Higgins making the last mistake. Not that it doesn't happen in other sports but snooker really zones in on this aspect particularly well.

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 10 October 2009 20:27 (sixteen years ago)

wow @ the series of long pots Ding played to go 5-1 up against Williams. Esp that Brown - the complaint that most snooker players have sub-zero personalities evaporates as soon as you see some of those.

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 10 October 2009 21:04 (sixteen years ago)

one month passes...

god why do i watch john higgins play when within 3 minutes i am enraged

dennis taylor, looking at the breakdown of neil robertson's 127 break: "it's very unusual to see all the colours in a century break! really went round the table, didn't he?"

n.b. 3 of those colours were potted in the final clearance

102. LJ: British. 5. (acoleuthic), Tuesday, 8 December 2009 17:50 (sixteen years ago)

dyaaaow (acoleuthic), Saturday, 12 December 2009 21:27 (sixteen years ago)

ho-ho. i got watching this (semi, not quarter-f, surely) only when it was 6:2 already - and was rather pissed off to see such a sad score. it's taken a few great turns since.

t**t, Saturday, 12 December 2009 22:01 (sixteen years ago)

I HOPE DING JUNHUI ACTUALLY INSERTS HIS CUE INTO YOUR BUM AFTER WINNING THE FINAL 11-0 OR HOWEVER MANY FRAMES IT IS

dyaaaow (acoleuthic), Saturday, 12 December 2009 22:02 (sixteen years ago)

DING!!!

If John wins the last 3 frames now, I am killing.

dyaaaow (acoleuthic), Sunday, 13 December 2009 23:31 (sixteen years ago)

I wouldn't be surprised if John pulls a few frames back, but the way Ding just pinched those frames must be hurting him.

The Devil's Avocado (Gukbe), Sunday, 13 December 2009 23:34 (sixteen years ago)

higgins will get another couple of flukes at least (and fuck them up)

I sb'ed your mum (ken c), Sunday, 13 December 2009 23:37 (sixteen years ago)
