Oh God yes.

They could have been Stackridge. (Tom D.), Friday, 1 July 2016 20:54 (seven years ago) link

Wilmots will have to be sacked after this, shocking tactics and substitutions, hitting aimless high balls for over 30 mins with that talent

Neptune Bingo (Michael B), Friday, 1 July 2016 20:56 (seven years ago) link

Fab

poor fiddy-less albion (darraghmac), Friday, 1 July 2016 20:56 (seven years ago) link

Ehr Portugal way more difficult to beat for Wales than Belgium tbh. But of course it can be done.

Le Bateau Ivre, Friday, 1 July 2016 20:57 (seven years ago) link

Yeah this is exit Wilmots

Le Bateau Ivre, Friday, 1 July 2016 20:57 (seven years ago) link

Taff, our 92 year old neighbour, is doing his nut on the phone

coygbiv (NickB), Friday, 1 July 2016 20:58 (seven years ago) link

Wow racist

poor fiddy-less albion (darraghmac), Friday, 1 July 2016 20:59 (seven years ago) link

Don't think ref fucked them too much. Lukaku one was a foul but he can't complain after that header early in 2nd half. Nainggolan was a dive

Blandford Forum, Friday, 1 July 2016 20:59 (seven years ago) link

Both cards for Ramsey and Davies came after sloppy Welsh passes. Must be pretty devastating for them to miss out on the semi.

Assume it's going to be billed as Bale v Ronaldo.

groovypanda, Friday, 1 July 2016 21:00 (seven years ago) link

Lukaku was a foul but davies didnt rly step egregiously into his path so you could see it not being given

Nainggolan was a lazy dive rly

poor fiddy-less albion (darraghmac), Friday, 1 July 2016 21:03 (seven years ago) link

Chelsea's new 33m man made some great angry faces after he came on, looking forward to those next season

Blandford Forum, Friday, 1 July 2016 21:06 (seven years ago) link

Prerequisite for a Prem player.

They could have been Stackridge. (Tom D.), Friday, 1 July 2016 21:07 (seven years ago) link

That robson-kanu goal is got to be goal of the tournament. It was sublime. He was so calm with the cryuff turn to take out three players.

plums (a hoy hoy), Friday, 1 July 2016 21:14 (seven years ago) link

Courtois saying he's done with Wilmots basically.

Le Bateau Ivre, Friday, 1 July 2016 21:20 (seven years ago) link

For me the control during Hal's goal is the single greatest bit of control (maybe vs Ronaldo backheel vs Croatia) in the entire tournament therefore your arguments are invalid.

suffeeciant attreebution (aldo), Friday, 1 July 2016 23:42 (seven years ago) link

Can we acknowledge the tekkers in that fucking vokes header btw

poor fiddy-less albion (darraghmac), Friday, 1 July 2016 23:44 (seven years ago) link

(ps I am drunkded)

And yes, Votes header great.

suffeeciant attreebution (aldo), Friday, 1 July 2016 23:47 (seven years ago) link

just woke up and noticed I had started to type a post but had only written a single letter t

wonder what I was going to say

"two thousand and sixteen is a fucken strange ass time to live in Wales" perhaps

Pat Umunna Glass (DJ Mencap), Saturday, 2 July 2016 06:56 (seven years ago) link

Yeah the quality of both goals is some serious cometh the hour shit. The run and header and the cross, brilliant.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Saturday, 2 July 2016 07:48 (seven years ago) link

he will probably never head a ball that well again in his life whatever the occasion

Pat Umunna Glass (DJ Mencap), Saturday, 2 July 2016 09:02 (seven years ago) link

I've watched that second Wales goal at least 20 times and still don't understand how he suddenly became completely open

mookieproof, Saturday, 2 July 2016 09:34 (seven years ago) link

How does this happen? You get a collection of average to slightly-above-average Premiership players, one very good Premiership player and one world class superstar (who doesn't end up doing much), a manager who has done very little of note in his career, and something like that happens. The last two goals were so great, just this sense of everything just clicking into place at exactly the right time. Robson-Kanu is a Championship free agent ffs.

Matt DC, Saturday, 2 July 2016 10:34 (seven years ago) link

amazing what you can do with players who can take tactical instruction and execute it as a collective. story of half the tournament.

tbf to the English lads there's a not a lot of evidence of them receiving coherent tactical instruction

No amount of tactical instruction gives you goals like that HRK one.
