A lot of the "TIFU" ones are clearly just made up...it's particularly obvious when they give a "tl;dr" at the end that sort of summarizes the story into a cute pun or something.

one thing that's amazing about reddit is how two people will make the same exact point in the same exact thread but one of them will be downvoted into oblivion for saying it in slightly the wrong tone

there are a million unspoken rules governing how you have to act to survive there, and i'm convinced there isn't anyone who finds reddit and feels that they truly 'belong'. everyone's always wearing their proper behavior 4 respectability masks.
