The 'big names' used to be a hindrance to Croatia in the past. This year it seems they are actually a team. I can see them going to the final rather comfortably.

Mandzukic, their big name, wasn't in the starting eleven tonight, he was on the bench. Modric was absent. Croatia ain't about big ego's anymore, and rightfully so, as it's what made them highly annoying in the past. Player to player comparisons are silly when the whole squad has a different approach.

Portugal don't work properly to regain possession. Obv they're good on the ball and create chances and with CRon you eventually expect goals - but out of possession they seem to hope the other team will give it back.

There were a couple of periods in the few minutes leading up the the corner and the goal where there was no pressure whatsoever on the ball - some half-hearted runs into areas but no urgency and no-one getting close enough to hurry the man in possession. Like they felt Hungary would make a mistake rather than be forced into it.
