I've not seen much fully-blown sociopathy from him lately, other than the fact that he's leading an army and in that context you do have to kill people occasionally. There are probably like 15-20 bigger sociopaths in the show.

I guess the current sociopathy has to do with whether his speech about killing anyone and anything that gets between him and Circei was a bluff or not

seemed p strategic to me but also he wld cause thats his job

also he seemed a lot more dedicated to finding a diplomatic solution after brienne said shed fight him

brienne is such a great character to play off against jaime since you get the sense that he thinks of himself as an honorable guy and his 'kingslayer' moniker came from a moment when he was trying to save a city. and brienne is afaict the only other person who believes jaime is a decent guy and encourages his sense of honor, vs cersei telling him it's them against the world and let's kill everyone else.

Did anyone else feel like that goodbye scene with Varys might have been his last scene? It had last-scene-style music, and had him sort-of walking into the distance...

i was thinking that it felt like a goodbye but it felt too obviously like a goodbye for it to be one. i could be wrong. i recall hearing about something from a kevan lannister chapter in one of the books that makes me wonder where varys is off to, and what his actual mission might be. that's probably another book story that's long gone though.

I really like the idea of Varys going to Dorne. Ellaria and Tyrion have a cordial relationship, and the Dornish are anti-slavery.

So E9 is Sansa's revenge on Ramsay. E10 Cersei on the Faith Militant with wildfire? Wonder if Tommen will be accidental collateral fulfilling the Cersei children prophecy.

That's okay, we have loads of great castles. I think I'd take Stirling, though Edinburgh is perhaps easier defended. But, you know, it's Edinburgh.

really he should have just owned that shit from day one and had kingslayer painted in all caps on his helmet.

find it hard to believe people in this world gaf about anyone killing a king, or at least that they do but that "daughterslayer" or "brothermurderer" or "seanbeankiller" wouldn't be as popular

I don't know why he doesn't just tell everyone the situation that he told Brienne. It made for a good bathtime revelation but I can't make sense of him keeping that story to himself most of the time.
