Despite the 2-0 result, Wilmots was critical of Antonio Conte’s approach to the game.

“Italy specifically played on the counter-attack. They did not play real football and when faced with everyone sitting back, it becomes difficult.

Love Italy

Always. At every tournament that Scotland aren't playing at, which is every tournament.

Larry 'Leg' Smith (Tom D.), Monday, 13 June 2016 23:29 (eight years ago) link

For someone who has never done that, he really seems to know exactly how it goes, and what it feels like.

I never touched the balls, something that others did.

But did they smell their fingers just after?

groovypanda, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 11:52 (eight years ago) link

Going to cause something of a headache if they do get thrown out:

groovypanda, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 11:57 (eight years ago) link

article should be titled 'Here's why Russia getting disqualified would be fairly straightforward'

Roberto Spiralli, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 12:07 (eight years ago) link

yeah well look lads if anyone had thought to ask a Villa fan what happens when you let Ciaran Clark join in we could've told you

― Windsor Davies, Monday, 13 June 2016 17:32 (Yesterday) Permalink

Clark well out of his depth alright. But weve nursed worse centre halves through tournaments before

― Daithi Bowsie (darraghmac), Monday, 13 June 2016 17:49 (Yesterday) Permalink

own goal aside, i thought Clark played well yesterday

Neptune Bingo (Michael B), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 12:31 (eight years ago) link

own goal and attempted own goal.

i thought the whole team was p good but got murdered down the left flank - i would be very worried about what italy will do down that side if we are as narrow against them. a really stupid panic after (our) goal too. like we were scared of winning.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 12:42 (eight years ago) link

i mean italy's left, our right

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 12:43 (eight years ago) link

Anything of interest in the Hapsburg Derby later?

Matt DC, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 15:57 (eight years ago) link

Aggressive start.

inside, skeletons are always inside, that's obvious. (dowd), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 16:02 (eight years ago) link

Suspect the salt cod classico this evening will be better but the Austria midfield looks promising. Great early hit from Alaba just wide of the post.

from his wiki page: Király is recognizable for wearing a pair of grey tracksuit bottoms instead of shorts in almost every match he plays,[2] which he says he chose for comfort after playing on rough surfaces[3], and grey in particular because they bring him good luck.[4] The trousers are inspired by Phil Campbell of Edinburgh.

xp it's either trackies or knees covered in scar tissue from those unforgiving blaes pitches

Matt DC, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 19:32 (eight years ago) link

illegal economic migration (Tracer Hand), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 19:42 (eight years ago) link
