Me, in mid-January: We should, like, organise a "hurrah, it's February, we survived Christmas and now can afford to go back out again" FAP for after the end of the month, shouldn't we?

What's wrong with you lot? Let's drink!

Madchen, I emailed you...

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 2 February 2006 23:28 (twenty years ago)

Yes, but. Should we tell him?

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 6 February 2006 13:34 (twenty years ago)

well, you can tell him here: www.myspace.com/jordan_knight
but, considering his recent venues - Washington High Homecoming, Blue Chip Casino and QVC Home Shopping Network - I think Jumpin Jacks is right up his alley.

dahlin (dahlin), Monday, 6 February 2006 18:14 (twenty years ago)

jaks

RJG (RJG), Monday, 6 February 2006 18:17 (twenty years ago)

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 6 February 2006 19:07 (twenty years ago)

the note on the winchester site wasn't otterley correct, it seems

it is, now, unfortunately

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 7 February 2006 11:58 (twenty years ago)

We should go on a Subway CRAWL FAP!
-- stet (vmdnb900...), January 22nd, 2006 11:21 PM. (stet)

I missed this!! Given the state of Grimly Fiendish on his birthday, this is like the best idea ever (unless you meant going round eating big sandwiches out of soulless American franchises, obv, in which case, worst idea ever).

Incidentally, Stet, you and your gangly legs should be travelling in comfort now.

ailsa (ailsa), Tuesday, 7 February 2006 18:52 (twenty years ago)

No sandwiches, just dodgy southside pubs. Start at lunchtime, stop when we pass out.

(And lots of drink on me for the legroom, Ailsa)

stet (stet), Wednesday, 8 February 2006 03:35 (twenty years ago)

got a new job thank god

cozen (Cozen), Friday, 10 February 2006 11:38 (twenty years ago)

finish at 17:06 each day tho?!

cozen (Cozen), Friday, 10 February 2006 11:39 (twenty years ago)

Paul Le Guen is the man Rangers want as Alex McLeish's successor, with Charlton's Alan Curbishley second choice. (Record)

PJ Miller (PJ Miller 68), Friday, 10 February 2006 12:16 (twenty years ago)

when do you start, cozen?

RJG (RJG), Friday, 10 February 2006 12:18 (twenty years ago)

monday

cozen (Cozen), Friday, 10 February 2006 12:20 (twenty years ago)

Wait, is cozen the new Rangers manager?

Alba (Alba), Friday, 10 February 2006 14:31 (twenty years ago)

starts on monday

RJG (RJG), Friday, 10 February 2006 14:37 (twenty years ago)

well, enjoy WC tomorrow. Try to make it next time ...sob

olenska (olenska), Friday, 10 February 2006 15:30 (twenty years ago)

I wish Cozen well. It's one of the most demanding jobs in football.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller 68), Friday, 10 February 2006 15:35 (twenty years ago)

Stet and Madchen, Gr4eme says legroom not guaranteed but he's done his best. Apparently if you check in online as early as you can you have a better chance. Don't blame me if it doesn't work (though he's done it for me and it has).

ailsa (ailsa), Saturday, 11 February 2006 11:29 (twenty years ago)

at some point after february 20, a FAP would be an excellent idea. whether it involves the subway or not.

i feel out of touch with everything except work at the moment.

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Sunday, 12 February 2006 00:12 (twenty years ago)

(and if we feel we need an excuse, it can be "hurrah for cozen's new job, whatever it might be.")

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Sunday, 12 February 2006 00:13 (twenty years ago)

Proper Excuse = aldo is Trying Glasgow More sometime around the end of February (last I heard). Or we could wave cheerio to Madchen and Stet before they go off on their holiday.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 12 February 2006 11:12 (twenty years ago)

I was, but it's now looking a bit wobbly. I hope to know this coming week.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Sunday, 12 February 2006 13:19 (twenty years ago)

Oooh *news* - where is Madchen going on her hols?

Lara (Lara), Monday, 13 February 2006 00:26 (twenty years ago)

I was, but it's now looking a bit wobbly.

:-(

And not just because you've got DVDs for me, honest.

Lara, Madchen is going to India, fancy bird that she is. What's wrong with Benidorm like the rest of us, eh?

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 13 February 2006 03:35 (twenty years ago)

I'm going to benidorm on wednesday

RJG (RJG), Monday, 13 February 2006 07:31 (twenty years ago)

I'll be going to Bognor or something this year :-/

Onimo (GerryNemo), Monday, 13 February 2006 10:16 (twenty years ago)

Lara, we're probably going to spend some time in Goa. Advice here please: I'm off to India (Alba's advice welcome too).

Mädchen (Madchen), Monday, 13 February 2006 11:16 (twenty years ago)

Dioralite (sp?)

Mooro (Mooro), Monday, 13 February 2006 11:20 (twenty years ago)

Thanks Mooro, but my plan is to lose enough weight in the first week to look acceptable in a bikini in the second.

Mädchen (Madchen), Monday, 13 February 2006 11:38 (twenty years ago)

Haha, if I don't make the Feb dates it'll probably be April for me because I'm off to India as well.

I can post your DVDs if you're desperate.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Monday, 13 February 2006 12:54 (twenty years ago)

Anyone want to do LASERS next Tuesday?

The Glasgow and West Scotland Branch of the BA together with the Institute of Physics in Scotland presents:
Lasers, Proton Beams and Nuclear Medicine

Talk to be held at the Glasgow Science Centre at 7.30 pm on Tuesday, 21st February.
FREE!!! ALL Welcome!!! No tickets required, however seats in the lecture theatre will be filled on a first come first served basis.

By firing an ultra-powerful - a million billion watts - laser beam at a solid target, it is possible to reproduce conditions which have previously only been found in stars. The lasers can generate particles including protons, electrons, neutrons and positrons which are of great interest to plasma, nuclear and astrophysicists but are also exciting for medical applications. Positrons can be used to find tumours and protons can be used to treat tumours with greater efficiency than conventional radiotherapy. In the longer term it may even be possible to use ultra-intense laser beams to help dispose of radioactive waste.

This talk will be presented at a level that can be understood by non-specialists and students at both school and university. A number of laser demonstrations will be given

Mädchen (Madchen), Monday, 13 February 2006 16:18 (twenty years ago)

hay guyz what's going on in this thread?

retarded and gay (bato), Monday, 13 February 2006 16:44 (twenty years ago)

"Thanks Mooro, but my plan is to lose enough weight in the first week to look acceptable in a bikini in the second."

Hmm. Pam's upsets in this area lasted for most of the 3 weeks she was there & for about a month afterwards. Hope your plan works, though. Maybe pack bikinis in a range of sizes.

Mooro (Mooro), Monday, 13 February 2006 16:54 (twenty years ago)

There is only one size of bikini at the moment: doesn't fit.

Mädchen (Madchen), Monday, 13 February 2006 16:55 (twenty years ago)

I'm not really going to benidorm on wednesday

RJG (RJG), Monday, 13 February 2006 17:03 (twenty years ago)

Science Week used to be in March. Or are they running this kind of events now all year long due to popular demand? I will be so impressed
