i tried the pour over directly into ice "japanese style" the flavor was nice but still a lil watery even tho i made it stronger than usual, i really like cold brew but hey u gotta make that ahead of time, prob mess w the quantities to make it stronger next time

prob make some dat cold brew overnight tho

you could probably make pour-over ice coffee that wouldn't be too weak by having it run over an ice block before it falls into the cup of ice.

Hmm, I'm kinda thinking you could have an ice-cube "double boiler" setup, with a cup of ice, topped by another separate container of ice (solely for cooling/run-over) topped by the hario or whatever dripper.

Bonavita dripper iced coffee recipe when I want to put in more work than using the Bonavita 1800 and Chemex:
30g coffee, 150g ice in a pint glass, 300g water
30 second bloom then pour rest of water and wait until 3:30 on timer

15:1 ratio seems to be key for my iced coffees.

I've had a couple of cold brew pots, they've al beenl more of a pain in the ass than brewing in a mason jar and then pouring it through a Chemex filter.

I had an iced espresso with milk today at a local 3rd-gen. First time seeing it on the menu. It was kind of a mini latte and was served in an 8 oz mason jar. needed more milk. only $5

Had a cap this afternoon, was quite good. Place by my work has the classiest looking espresso setup -- the group heads basically swan out of the counter on individual "necks" and the rest of the machinery is below the counter where you can't see it. Also, if you are getting a to-go coffee, they basically hand it to you open and put a lid on a saucer for you rather than having you grab one off some stuck-together stack. It really gives the feeling of luxury service in an impressive way, just via small details, e.g. the fact that there is no machine blocking the space between you and the barista. Justifies the $4 for an 8oz cof I guess.

I just spent $22 on a cup of cof made from beans that were pooped out by an Indonesian luwak. It's v good and interesting but not the best ever imo. Also for the love of god plz don't judge me for spending so much on a cof, I'm on vacation and it's a splurge
