I drink a cup of coffee every morning. No one in this thread would approve of the coffee I drink. It would not meet their exacting standards. Fortunately, their coffee opinions are irrelevant to my life. Tomorrow morning I will enjoy my wretched and clownishly bad coffee, as I do every morning. Life is good.

almost just got an americano at MOM's organic market but it's too late in the day zzzzz
I am definitely off my coffee game lately but I just ran an errand for a friend to pick up some beans. Got some medium roast Uganda beans, smell really good, might have to steal some.

Coffee log for the day:
Breakfast: Starbucks via Colombian Late morning: good cap at the brunch place where I waited for my flat to be fixed. They had an awesome looking Astoria manual machine and used some brand called grammercy park. Afternoon: no cof available so I had one of those Starbucks doubleshot canned thingies, not so bad.

― am0n, Monday, 23 May 2016 14:34 (ten years ago)
Ran out of cof yesterday because I didn't take a pound out of the freezer in time. Local roaster's beans that weren't even that fresh were $15/12 oz at Whole Foods. Fuck that noise.
― Kiarostami bag (milo z), Monday, 23 May 2016 14:40 (ten years ago)
my beans cost $20 for 12 oz :( it was a definite splurge
― sexy dander (Stevie D(eux)), Monday, 23 May 2016 15:51 (ten years ago)
but still cheaper than buying a cup of cof every day
had McD's coffee this morning. i thought they had upped their game with the whole McCafe concept but it was 70s diner cof to be sure

McDonald's coffee can actually be way above average imo, I much prefer it to Dunkin. But I've found that they often over-cream and over-sugar it, and it's already a pretty mild coffee so that can indeed make it taste like diner coffee and kill the taste.
― a man a plan alive (man alive), Monday, 23 May 2016 16:15 (ten years ago)
Dunkin seems to be very divisive. I love it.
― always be charging (rip van wanko), Monday, 23 May 2016 16:27 (ten years ago)
i need to get some good beans. i was trying to rough it with bustelo to save money but i just ended up getting coffee out.
― Treeship, Monday, 23 May 2016 16:29 (ten years ago)
dunkin is completely serviceable imo but i am a cof dilettante

Rly do not mind McD's coffee and, as far as drip goes, it's much more drinkable than any of Starbucks' drip brews.
― sexy dander (Stevie D(eux)), Monday, 23 May 2016 17:26 (ten years ago)
aw man, i wish i could have a cof in space

v much agree. Starbucks' inability to make and serve a drinkable drip coffee is baffling. They used to sometimes have blends that were ok, I don't remember which ones but the one near my college campus rotated coffees a lot and sometimes it was good.

I remember Starbucks having perfectly fine drip coffee circa 1989, though I don't recall sampling it any time in the past two decades-plus. Sells to a difference audience now. Dunkin Donuts drinkers, maybe?

It is impossible to get not terrible coffee on my way to work. There's coffee, but it's just a way of getting caffeinated. I've resigned myself to DD's which I think is the best of the bunch.
