I don't know but somewhere after Brokeback Mountain I lost all my fangirl love for him. Loved him in the film but after that...he's just...square it figures he'd get with a bigger square. I miss this version of Jake; http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z188/rich23434565/550x600_jake_gyllenhaal_5.jpg So fresh, so clean

lol prince of Persia, actors still don't realize movies based on games will always suck, and will only be cult favourites because of their overwhelming wackness.

From a generally positive take on the film:
Still, the film was suprisingly enjoyable. The actors all put in spirited performances, Kingsley commendably managing to avoid making an ass out of himself as he did in Bloodrayne and Gyllenhaal making for a rather endearing Prince (I actually found his goofy "London Cabbie" accent quite charming). Alfred Molina was easily the best thing about the film as the Sheik who runs an illegal Ostrich racing ring, his scenes being the only ones that were genuinely amusing. He also deserves some sort of prize for delivering one of the most bizarre lines of dialogue in cinematic history: 'Did you know Ostriches have suicidal tendancies?'

― Ned Raggett, Monday, 24 May 2010 19:15 (sixteen years ago)
Dude, I totally know – my parents made the dumb-ass move of buying some when they were a weird commodity in the v early '90s. So I grew up around them. They did a lot of weird stuff, like performing a mating dance for anything that moved, but never anything especially suicidal. Though I know "data" is not the plural of "anecdote."
― frozen cookie (Abbott), Monday, 24 May 2010 19:41 (sixteen years ago)
actually, molina is TERRIBLE in this

― Ned Raggett, Monday, 24 May 2010 19:54 (sixteen years ago)
people talk about 'robin hood' as a teabagger movie, but this one is even more so!
molina's main deal in it is complaining about paying taxes
― long time listener, first time balla (history mayne), Monday, 24 May 2010 19:55 (sixteen years ago)
"Kingsley avoids making an ass out of himself as he did in Bloodrayne!"
The critics agree...Prince Of Persia is not as bad as an Uwe Boll movie!

In case you thought such things were past, both Gemma Arterton and Alfred Molina appear to have "browned up" for their roles, unless they can do that digitally.
You nitwits who thought Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was "awful" should see how bad things can get with dross like this. But don't, I want this series aborted.

"Crystal Skull" wasn't as good as the other three movies but, aside from the monkey scene, it was still entertaining. Based on the promos, "Prince of Persia" seems kind of misconceived from the ground up.
