Two of my best friends (married) regularly go on small hikes and camping trips... and neither actually enjoys it.

She was in a long-term couch potato relationship before and presented herself as wanting more adventure/activity and as an outdoorsy person. He presented himself as the guy to make that happen even though it wasn't really his thing, now they're invested in the gear and the trips and all that and will continue doing this until they have a kid most likely with neither one particularly happy about it.

That they continue on doing it for each other and won't say a word because they don't want to disappoint the other is adorable.

my advice is to start very slowly with that kind of thing and if you're not that into it, maybe scale back

there are probably a million couples with a "shared interest" that neither one is particularly into, though

OMG milo why doesnt another friend put them both out of their misery and tell them both!

how can you tell people who are otherwise happy outside of this shared loathing that their relationship is a lie? that's how they bond!

dude obviously knew the song parodies were parodies, just hadn't picked that the pastiches were pastiches and not merely original comedy songs

presumably he's a bigger CSN fan than whoever else Al has pastiched, or possibly he'd never listened to a whole album until the new one (I've never listened to a whole Weird Album)

I didn't understand the style parody thing until someone broke it down on ILM. I just thought he was good at making his own wacky songs.

Weird Al style parodies are probably his best stuff and I always wish like Jack White or Devo or whoever would bust em out for their live show

I dunno a lot of people get into Weird Al at a young age before they've heard the stuff he's parodying from, seems pretty normal to me

I mean I remember hearing "Satisfaction" on the radio and being amused that someone would cover the Devo song
