They tell each that the other has given them up, told them everything that happened, and they use their one clue they have found so far as a detail to make it sound like the other bad guy has flopped. One bad guy stays steely and refuses to talk, but the other can't take the stress and gives up some incremenating piece of evidence. Then they walk them back to the cells in such a way that the baddies can see each other and realize that one of them has given the other up.
