xpost i have an aeropress that just stays at work, greatest cof strategy imo

Wife just got this for me so I could keep it at work. Very happy with it, yet trying to get a hang of it so use and clean up doesn't take 30 minutes. Only my 2nd day with it!

i think it's physically impossible for cleanup to take more than like 20 seconds - you pop the 'puck' of coffee out, rinse, pat dry, done

that said i am STILL looking for a sensible storage box/bag for my aeropress - the one it came with is now ratty beyond belief

I think it just came down to me stupidly pulling the pump apart BEFORE taking the used grounds out, which kind of made me fling it all over the kitchen counter! I'll get the steps down by tomorrow for sure.

Plus I was factoring the making coffee portion of the process in those 30 minutes, which I'm still doing slowly to make sure I've got it right.

the inside of the aeropress barely needs cleaning, i'm guilty of just pushing a cof through, rinsing residual grounds off the end, and taking it back to my desk

i do the lazy version of loading it - put the plunger in and load it up while upside down at my desk, go to the break room, moisten the filter, fill the upside- down part with hot water and let it sit a second, then put the filter on, invert it, and slam it into a cup

then you just take the filter off and pop the whole mess in the garbage, good for the next time

the aeropress is upside down, that is, not me

i keep all my coffee kit in one of those lil square cambro jobbers --- aeropress, 1lb bag of cof, scoop, hario hand grinder

I have a new god and that god is Japanese/flash-iced coffee in a Chemex w/ Yirgacheffe beans.

No mug, I drink it in pint glass quantities.

Made my regular big mug this morning then had a second cof at lunch. Haven't quite perked up yet though.

had coffee this weekend but something went wrong because it lacked a lot of flavour

my caffeine tolerance is crazy now, i have also just been super exhausted lately too so maybe that's why i'm not noticing much of an effect, but i drank an entire 32 oz french press yesterday and didn't really feel anything

when i was on vacation last year w/friends and was like "unnnh neeed caffeeeeine" and they tell me I just had a cup of coffee and I insist that was just the tiniest dent in my overwhelming need

Yeah like I almost convinced myself that I only drink two coffees a day but then I went to visit my mom out west - she makes filter coffee and I have an espresso machine - and still felt groggy even after drinking coffee (and once I accidentally used her decaf and almost died of headache). Because the truth is that I drink double espressos and am fooling no one with my false claims about mere borderline addiction.
