7 Recitative: Nun folge, was dein Vater spricht! Schlendrian and Lieschen Schlendrian threatens to prevent his daughter from marrying if she fails to give up coffee, Lieschen has a sudden change of heart.
8 Aria: Heute noch, lieber Vater Lieschen Lieschen thanks her father for offering to find her a husband, and vows to give up coffee if she can have a lover instead.
9 Recitative: Nun geht und sucht der alte Schlendrian Narrator The narrator states that while Schlendrian goes out to find a husband for his daughter, Lieschen secretly tells potential suitors that they must let her drink her coffee if they care to marry her.
10 Trio: Die Katze läßt das Mausen nicht Tutti All three characters sing the moral of the story, "drinking coffee is natural".

didnt want to use the good beans cause u have to use so many of them so i just god some starbucks still p good tho

bear in mind it snowed ~3ft over the last two weeks

anyway back to the brew, prob cldve made it slightly stronger but its still p good

Had some cof just now -- the office has this Jura auto-espresso machine that they fill with starbucks beans. It's like just ok enough that I try to use it and not buy coffee, but it has a slight nastiness to it. Super acidic.

I'm usually a light-medium roast guy, but I got a bag of Sumatra Gayo River which was more of a medium-dark and it's making me re-evaluate. It's not at all burnt tasting, but the slightly darker roast brings out some really nice spicy notes.

Sumatra is known for being very zingy and spicy and sharp. I've never really had it light-roasted, but would be curious to try.

it's also often kinda funky! I like the funk but I know that it's not popular with many folks, especially when combined with the zingy acidity you mention.

I have usually really disliked Sumatra, but have never had (or even seen it, tbh) from a roaster I really like.

feel like a lot of good 3rd wave roasters steer clear of it due to the aforementioned funk
