It was quite well known in the UK (probably more so than in the US) that Jacko was a massive BH stan and was widely reported over here, I think after his final exile from UK tv.

Was about to say that Benny Hill looks like he's got one one of those wrist tags you have to wear if you're in hospital, then I noticed that the towel(?) behind him appears to be from the Royal Brompton Hospital. Curiouser and curiouser.

Today in Michael Jackson History February 22nd

1974 - The Jackson 5 performed at The Astrodome in Houston, Texas.

1992 - While in England, Michael and his young friend Brett Barnes visit comedian Benny Hill at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London.. He brings flowers and spends 35 minutes at Benny Hill's bedside. Jackson is said to also have asked Hill if he wanted to appear in a video with him, to which the comic replies, "Of course, why not?" Jackson then confesses to Hill that he watches his shows every day and that he has hundreds of his videos. Benny Hill's best friend, TV producer Dennis Kirkland, reveals, "Michael had invited Benny to stay with him next time he is in L.A. The 67-year-old comic has been convalescing from a heart attack, but refused to undergo a heart bypass and passes away three months later from coronary thrombosis.
