Black H&M top w/ 3/4 length sleeves, black skirt that comes to just below knee and is in some kind of slippy shiny material, black tights, WHITE pants and bra and hair tied back with a piece of random purple velour material that I cut off from a top my stepmother gave me. And some shoes. And I'm tired.

Sarah (starry), Friday, 28 February 2003 10:12 (twenty-three years ago)

I finally sucumbed and tucked my jeans into my boots. I am wearing slouchy black suede boots, tight dark blue/ black jeans, black top with triangle design of paint splotches from Hoxton Boutique.

(I also dyed my hair at the weekend. It came out far more orange than expected and I was starting to think I looked like a member of the B52's, but I ran into Emma at Finsbury Park tube and she was lovely and reassuring.)

Anna (Anna), Friday, 28 February 2003 11:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Was I? Phew! I thought my efforts to reassure might have come out wrong. Anyway you did look lovely. And this boots/jeans thing. How do people do it with tight boots? I don't understand. There is no room between my calf and the boot to put the trouser. Maybe I have unnaturally fat calves :(

I am wearing grey cord trousers, trainers, a silver vest top and a strange turquoise floaty 1 armed thing that is vaguely grecian. And I have a new haircut (Pete says it is 'gamine' ha ha).

Emma, Friday, 28 February 2003 11:46 (twenty-three years ago)

Thank you.

They aren't tight boots, they're those suede ones from Shelly's that semi fall down.

Anna (Anna), Friday, 28 February 2003 11:51 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes but I have seen people doing it with tight boots too... maybe they have special customised trousers that have sock like attachments at the bottom as there doesn't even seem to be a trouser shaped bulge in the boots. Maybe I am just paranoid and imagining scrawny calves everywhere I look. This is quite likely.

Emma, Friday, 28 February 2003 11:54 (twenty-three years ago)

tight 'naner republic black t-shirt with v-neck,grey pants (no underwear, underwear only with jeans), white bra, black socks, no shoes yet.Dark red lipstick, no other makeup.

Black ankle boots, black trousers, red v-neck top with three-quarter sleeves. Underneath is a mess of non-matchingness: blue bra, white knickers and knee-high stripey socks.

Madchen (Madchen), Friday, 28 February 2003 15:41 (twenty-three years ago)

Nope. Me too. But I think it's just cuz I'm really really sleepy this morning.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Friday, 28 February 2003 16:01 (twenty-three years ago)

My brown Cornish pasty shoes, red socks, indeterminate flared jeans, t-shirt from Next kids section, horrible navy jumper (that's a SWEATER) covering up bulges (I feel bulgy today). No bra. White pants.

So glad there's no dress code here (unless there IS, and people are just tactfully not telling me because they think I can't afford nice clothes. Which is true.)

I am going CHARITY shopping tomorrow morning; any tips as to what hip new looks I should be trying to recreate on the (very) cheap?

Archel (Archel), Friday, 28 February 2003 16:10 (twenty-three years ago)
