I'm working on a revision of the last panel-it would be much more appropriate if Mallard runs over a newspaper vending machine.

Isn't that a bit obvious, though?

I suspect there's enough energy in the rest of the drawing where it won't become the first thing you see.

also, the picture of the gay bear buttsecks -- the topman's ass-pucker looks a little too, uh, exposed. like, it's either the most prominent butthole ever, or he's prolapsing. that aside, i really enjoy your artwork, dan!

dan lacey what are your top 5 most important political issues?

I've been trying to care. I'm not much motivated by politics anymore, mainly because I see neglect everywhere. 'Hot issues' run for a while as fads and then nothing gets accomplished; I've been trying to get off of that stupid train.

As a partial answer I would say life issues, if anything. Euthanasia still interests me, as does cloning. Renewable energy; if we had advanced solar capacity it would solve many of our domestic and defense related problems.

I'm more interested in why people care about certain issues, particularly as seen through the lens of faith and sexual motivation.

what are your religious beliefs? are you against euthanasia because you believe it takes a life provided by god?

That's a good question.

I've sort of had a falling out with God as of late, so I'm not really advocating anything except doing good, or trying to do good.

There are still too many cases of people 'coming back' after all hope was gone, so I would err on the side of caution. But as for moral absolutes; except for a few cases I've lost my enthusiasm.

Dan, I hate to be all frenchy pedantic here, but the 'e' at the end of petite makes it a feminine adjective. Petit is the proper spelling and p'tit is "li'l".

Well, let's get it right. Drop the 'e' and what do you suggest with 'p'tit is "li'l"?'

If she's going to call someone 'bonhomme', she's quite likely to say 'p'tit' instead of 'petit'. It's kind of idiomatic, is what I'm saying.
