Ha -- I was weirded out by the 50-episodes thing too, not in relation to the length of 30 Rock, but just because I'd always gotten the impression it was like a long-running weekly dud of a show. (I mean, the implication at the beginning was that they had a long-running thing going that Jack/Tracy were shaking up, right?) But maybe "TGS with Tracy Jordan" shows count differently from "The Girlie Show."

This was my assumption. SNL does about 20 episodes a year (at least it has in the last few non-strike seasons), so if TGS were on the same schedule, they'd be hitting their 50th midway through the 3rd season -- definitely a couple of months ago, but not long enough ago to bother me.

yes. I'm cycling through The Wire for a second time right now & there is a scene in the first season where McNulty drunkenly gives a half-assed attempt at IKEA assemblage before passing out.

Maybe Jack will quit to start his own television studio and stringer bell will show up at NBC and suck all the fun out of TGS by not being amused by Tracy Jordan's antics. Then he will play soccer with Kenneth.

I can't recall any of the particular jokes from this episode off the top of my head, but it was awesome.

I loved the Indigo Girls jokes too, which I only remembered about an hour ago.
