The "preempted by wrestling" line was hilarious. Anyone else remember when SNL was preempted by this?

"we're not behind the times, we're groovy"

congratulations (n/a), Friday, 10 April 2009 11:24 (seventeen years ago)

k3vin k., Friday, 10 April 2009 14:15 (seventeen years ago)

cutty, Friday, 10 April 2009 14:19 (seventeen years ago)

i love kenneth as much as the next person, but there's been a whole lot of him lately. they're not going to Urkel-ize him are they?

now is the time to winterize your manscape (will), Friday, 10 April 2009 14:23 (seventeen years ago)

A little too late for that, isn't it? I still enjoy him but yeah they need to give the other actors some face time, too.

Nhex, Friday, 10 April 2009 14:55 (seventeen years ago)

imagine me wearing a trucker hat that says "MORE FRANK" and nodding.

Kerm, Friday, 10 April 2009 14:57 (seventeen years ago)

no, the cereal

k3vin k., Friday, 10 April 2009 15:02 (seventeen years ago)

now i could stand here brad and bore you with numbers. i could tell you we're the #1 rated show among men 9-13, AND the morbidly obese

k3vin k., Friday, 10 April 2009 15:04 (seventeen years ago)

i had kind of a nabisco/jaymc ocd tv show continuity moment when they kept referring to TGS being on its 50th episode when 30R is past that number already and TGS is supposed to have already been on the air for a while before where the show's storyline picks up.

far beyond steendriven (some dude), Friday, 10 April 2009 15:09 (seventeen years ago)

but a week for us is usually only a few days for them, so you can sort of see how it could happen

she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Friday, 10 April 2009 15:12 (seventeen years ago)

haha i didnt catch that...it could just be a joke wrt the TGS's general retardedness. like it's a weekly sketch comedy show that's been around for over three years and is just hitting 50 eps

xpost i thought of that too, but 30 rock-time seems to vary between eps

k3vin k., Friday, 10 April 2009 15:14 (seventeen years ago)

also it's not real

congratulations (n/a), Friday, 10 April 2009 15:16 (seventeen years ago)

well yeah, both of these things. I don't follow timelines closely on this show - I'm too exhausted from Lost :)

she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Friday, 10 April 2009 15:17 (seventeen years ago)

maybe we could team up. go in there together, lez out, give him a show...

k3vin k., Friday, 10 April 2009 15:19 (seventeen years ago)

that's your worst quadrant!

Zero Transfats Waller (Oilyrags), Friday, 10 April 2009 15:29 (seventeen years ago)

it is bad enough that you killed the bird i have had for over 60 years, but the fact that you didnt trust me is unforgivable

xp yesss

k3vin k., Friday, 10 April 2009 15:29 (seventeen years ago)

ruined it with your talking, didnt you!?

k3vin k., Friday, 10 April 2009 15:30 (seventeen years ago)

not to name names, but it's so sad that a certain black individual tricked someone so pretty into thinking you were a serial killer

k3vin k., Friday, 10 April 2009 15:33 (seventeen years ago)

also guys liz's "cereal" thing in the beginning and the whole "ken is a serial killer" thing is A+ imo

k3vin k., Friday, 10 April 2009 15:33 (seventeen years ago)

"i need a makeup artist! NO...the sluttier one"

Ømår Littel (Jordan), Friday, 10 April 2009 15:34 (seventeen years ago)

oooo I forgot about slutty Liz. <3<3<3

Imaginary Dead Baseball Players Live in My Cornfield (Pillbox), Friday, 10 April 2009 15:35 (seventeen years ago)

it was the return of 1-900-OKFACE Liz

Nhex, Friday, 10 April 2009 15:53 (seventeen years ago)

feel like they need some new jokes, they're really hammering the same character jokes over and over and over

congratulations (n/a), Friday, 10 April 2009 15:53 (seventeen years ago)

symptom of this <- repeating the exact same joke of jonathan singing his goodbye to donaghey

congratulations (n/a), Friday, 10 April 2009 15:58 (seventeen years ago)

and yeah i understand what call-backs are but you need jokes other than call-backs too

congratulations (n/a), Friday, 10 April 2009 15:59 (seventeen years ago)

the whole overly smithers-y jonathan thing is kinda weak in general but u mad

far beyond steendriven (some dude), Friday, 10 April 2009 16:23 (seventeen years ago)

jonathan was a pretty one note character--sort of a real life version of Disco Stu

Mr. Que, Friday, 10 April 2009 16:25 (seventeen years ago)

they could have jonathan sing in every episode and it would be okay with me.

lil waynes babymama (musically), Friday, 10 April 2009 16:26 (seventeen years ago)

yeah he's OBVIOUSLY more like disco stu than smithers, what was i thinking!?

far beyond steendriven (some dude), Friday, 10 April 2009 16:32 (seventeen years ago)

smithers has at least three notes

Mr. Que, Friday, 10 April 2009 16:32 (seventeen years ago)

is he really cut from the show? surely he'll be hired back next ep

i like to fart and i am crazy (gbx), Friday, 10 April 2009 16:33 (seventeen years ago)

i guess some of the characters are getting into caricature territory, but the jokes are good so who cares

Ømår Littel (Jordan), Friday, 10 April 2009 16:37 (seventeen years ago)

i still lol, i just want them to step their game up

congratulations (n/a), Friday, 10 April 2009 16:40 (seventeen years ago)

Ha -- I was weirded out by the 50-episodes thing too, not in relation to the length of 30 Rock, but just because I'd always gotten the impression it was like a long-running weekly dud of a show. (I mean, the implication at the beginning was that they had a long-running thing going that Jack/Tracy were shaking up, right?) But maybe "TGS with Tracy Jordan" shows count differently from "The Girlie Show."

I feel obligated to quote something: "I was just admonishing him for that earlier!"

nabisco, Friday, 10 April 2009 17:28 (seventeen years ago)

What can I do? I’m on my grind. My kids are going to have so much money, my grandkids are going to play Lacrosse. Lacrosse, Liz Lemon.
