I voted the Green Party in the very first election they had here after I turned 18... I still sometimes feel bad about it (the Greens in here are fairly bourgeoise, dunno why I picked them), it's been the socialists in every election ever since.

Except for the presidential elections, which I always boycott, because fuck the idea that millions of people can be represented by one.

the greens here are sooooorta bourgie hampstead types but also not really and i have no compunction about voting for them, especially when the socialist workers' party is basically an echo-chamber for chauvinism

Oh, thankfully it's not like that here. Most of the old school Marxist chauvinists have either died or they're in the actual communist party, the socialists are fairly progressive and green too.

Here in America voting green is equivalent to saying "I voted for my kids' birthday clown, 'cause he makes me feel good."
