i can't believe i never updated this thread with the true fact that in march (i think it was march) jennifer lawrence attended and played in a pub quiz i run in downtown mtl (but quit after two rounds) (i think she was there to kill time before getting food or going to the hotel nearby but still)

apparently the theme round was "queens and patriots". (whatever that meant. i didn't write that week's quiz on my pc.) didn't matter though; she left by the time that round rolled around.

also apparently another team accused her team of cheating? to which i responded "you always accuse people in that seat of cheating, and they never win, so stfu" gah now i'm getting annoyed at my regulars all over again

It's ok. Members of Sonic Youth (including Mark Ibold) are just a given for celebrity sightings.

I actually saw Gladwell out the window of a diner on hudson street. I never thought I would be the type of person who recognized New Yorker writers on the street, yet here we are.

My little niece had blisters from her new dress shoes after her Mum's very important thing. So while her Mum finished up, we wandered down Victoria Embankment to see if we could find her some Union Jack flip flops or something equally cheap and tacky. We ended up outside Charing Cross and found an Accessorize, where there were cheap kiddie flip flops. But this girl is so slow at choosing what she wants and my partner will give in to this. I was hungover and tired from the important thing so I paced up and down the shop for ten minutes while she tried on the three different options of flip flops endless times. Just as I was about to suggest this 6 year old should walk through Covent Garden bare foot, Michael Smiley walked past with the smallest handbag dog on a lead, listening to his headphones and mumbling to himself. Cheered me up no end.
