Yeah and so when someone like Victor Davis Hanson does something like this, I think the following things:
A. Um, you know, a lot of lefties DO actually live out their values.
B. Even if some individuals fall short of perfect execution of certain values, that doesn't make those bad values.
C. Wanting others to ALSO have the things you enjoy isn't hypocrisy. I want the less fortunate not to be hungry, yet omg I still EAT FOOD. I carry a driver's license yet I don't agree that those without one should be denied a right to vote. OMGWTFBBQ?!?!?!
I get that it's meant to be cute turnabout from the lefty play of "you hate government and yet you DRIVE ON ROADS?!?!?!?" But it falls flat once that initial "daring" frisson has faded.
