incidentally, i don't care for cow's milk butter (or any other mammal, wiseass) and actively avoid most foods cooked or baked with excessive butter (exceptions for croissants). We're a coconut/olive oil house.

it's not a health thing or a conscious choice, i just don't much care for the taste or texture of butter and it doesn't agree with me in excess.

Olive oil with bread IS great especially with balsamic vinegar. But on a sandwich instead of butter? No.

so vegan mayo just replaces egg yokes with soy milk or the like?
wouldn't it be easier to just spread spoiled milk on your sandwich?

Just hit up a food truck and had this happen to me again. The list of ingredients included "sauce" so I asked the guy if it was a yogurt sauce. He just told me "it's tzatziki". Got it back to my office and it's got mayo in it for sure, although not as repellent a mixture as last time, so at least I was able eat the whole thing.

well, blue cheese dressing is typically made with mayonnaise. can't imagine the hot sauce version being a big improvement.
but i'd say the same for tuna & egg salad, so what do i know?
