Anyway I am fully down with a FAP that has nothing to do with Doctor Who, thanks.

(Tentatively, how do people feel about something this Sunday afternoon? The next few weekends after that will be full one way or another.)

I think I am going to be in a pumpkin patch sunday afternoon, not sure yet

I may be, gulp, house-hunting this Sunday, will know more later this week.

as a whole, ilx is always invited to drink at radio valencia sunday evenings while i do my show.

the Berkeley store has cut its hours in the past few years. I'm guessing the SF store does better because of the Haight St. tourists and general foot traffic, whereas Telegraph Ave. in Berkeley is not what it used to be in that department

LA store was doing well last I heard.

Imagine how weird it will be ... go grab tacos at Sinaloa, head down to Rasputin for an ice cream, and then over to Amoeba for some indica. Nice little day out on the town.

otoh the parking situation in the evening there is way easier than it used to be

I think rumors about Amoeba going out of business have been around for at least a decade.

though I guess I've never seen them tied to a specific location & in print before

haha I remember when the guy that wrote that article was the music editor of the EB Express and I had to be nice to him

the telegraph store these days PALES in comparison to the other two, selection-wise. also that block is totally fucked up. the other street corners on the block are vacant (NE = empty lot; SW = formerly cody's books, vacant for years; NW = building burned down a few years ago, not sure if anything's there yet.)

last I was there -- a few weeks ago (didn't buy anything because they were closing earlier than I'd thought they closed) -- the building that burned down was in the process of being rebuilt. I know the owners of Amoeba had been advocating for having something built in that vacant lot for years, but it actually is owned by the owner of Rasputin's (iirc).

yeah, ken owns it. he's the worst.

the project he has in development for the cody's space is going to be so bad.

Sorry, been busy here (and did get your note, thanks Shakey). Um...let's see. Generally Saturday afternoons are good, though this month only next Saturday is free (and I have to check my schedule for sure).

This said, Sundays can work too!
