weird, when did this become a meme? (I saw Friday in the theater fyi - and many times afterwards - but that line has never stuck out as particularly memorable)

couple friends and i rewatched friday a few months back and began using this then started hearing it from outsiders around the same time so my conclusion is that everybody simultaneously remembered that friday is awesome at the same time.
