dyson (dyson), Monday, 23 August 2004 05:35 (twenty-one years ago)

fwiw, it was the facetiousness in combination with genuine responses that escalated it to the point of real discomfort. Michael Jones' original compliment was actually a very nice one (so he shouldn't feel bad). In any case, it's fine.

In other news, I have a somewhat bizarre photo for you of Mr Noodles reffing soccer yesterday, wherein it appears that he has developed the power to levitate the ball and stupify all the opponents.

Kim (Kim), Monday, 23 August 2004 10:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Even though I hate football, that is a brilliant photo.

Coz it looks less like a football, and more like a bizarre UFO that Noodles has made apear by the power of his clenched fists like a manifestation of his rage!!!

Super-Masonic Black Hole (kate), Monday, 23 August 2004 10:23 (twenty-one years ago)

I have seen a couple of Noodles' comments on the footie threads but I didn't know he was a ref!

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Monday, 23 August 2004 10:26 (twenty-one years ago)

(Thanks, Kim. I was beginning to feel I'd strayed into rather dubious territory. I try not to do the whole 'Phwoar! Hott pic! etc' thing with people I don't know.)

Dastoor up thread: Phwoar! Hott pic!

Michael Jones (MichaelJ), Monday, 23 August 2004 10:35 (twenty-one years ago)

at first i thought that was noodles' belly!

mookieproof (mookieproof), Monday, 23 August 2004 14:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Porkpie (porkpie), Monday, 23 August 2004 14:59 (twenty-one years ago)

no more discussions on my temperature please.

ken c (ken c), Monday, 23 August 2004 15:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Can we comment on how loud that shirt is?

chrisco (chrisco), Monday, 23 August 2004 15:34 (twenty-one years ago)

pardon? I can't hear you, something incredibly loud is blocking out all other sound

Porkpie (porkpie), Monday, 23 August 2004 15:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 23 August 2004 15:43 (twenty-one years ago)

ken c (ken c), Monday, 23 August 2004 16:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Just a second while I make a photobucket account, and you can all revel in the glory that is me

chrisco (chrisco), Monday, 23 August 2004 16:35 (twenty-one years ago)

None of you have a shirt as loud as our friend Luke's.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Monday, 23 August 2004 16:44 (twenty-one years ago)

chrisco (chrisco), Monday, 23 August 2004 16:48 (twenty-one years ago)

blimey that Luke dude is wearing wrapping paper! COOL! (no offence)

jel -- (jel), Monday, 23 August 2004 16:50 (twenty-one years ago)

That guy in the last Luke shot is just off in the corner eyeing that thing, like he's embarrassed to be photographed anywhere near it.

nabisco (nabisco), Monday, 23 August 2004 16:57 (twenty-one years ago)

mookieproof, that pic makes you look like one of my relatives!

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Monday, 23 August 2004 16:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Also his shirt seems determined to help him blend in with the booth.

xpost

chrisco (chrisco), Monday, 23 August 2004 16:59 (twenty-one years ago)

He's slept on a sofa in an apartment with me at least twice now in that shirt. I think that's the "sleepover" shirt.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Monday, 23 August 2004 17:01 (twenty-one years ago)

that shirt is like Russian Candy Wrappers

the neurotic awakening of s (blueski), Monday, 23 August 2004 17:03 (twenty-one years ago)

mookieproof, that pic makes you look like one of my relatives!

a good relative or a bad relative?

mookieproof (mookieproof), Monday, 23 August 2004 17:51 (twenty-one years ago)

good one.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Monday, 23 August 2004 21:34 (twenty-one years ago)

I kind of think of Ally's relatives in the same way as I think of Samantha's in Bewitched.

Alba (Alba), Monday, 23 August 2004 21:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Believe it or not, I do actually have a shirt that is LOUDER than Ally's friend Luke's. The bright ORANGE AND FUSCHIA AND LIME GREEN killer paramecium shirt. Unfortunately, I do not know where it is any more - I hope that it's in storage at my mum's house, with all my other stage clothes from when I was in the 60s go-go band.

Super-Masonic Black Hole (kate), Tuesday, 24 August 2004 07:21 (twenty-one years ago)

This picture is ten years old, but you can just about see a turquoise and tan op art abomination which isn't actually nearly as loud as the killer paramecium paisley:

http://www.geocities.com/Paris/LeftBank/8466/oldme.jpg

(If that doesn't work, then go to this page:http://www.geocities.com/Paris/LeftBank/8466/mememe.html but don't read any of it, cause it's all over five years out of date.)

Super-Masonic Black Hole (kate), Tuesday, 24 August 2004 07:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Digging the fringe.

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 24 August 2004 07:27 (twenty-one years ago)

That was good hair. Maybe I should get my hair cut like that again. Maybe if I lived in a country with less than 90% humidity again...

Super-Masonic Black Hole (kate), Tuesday, 24 August 2004 07:29 (twenty-one years ago)

before I read the caption I saw mookieproof's picture and thought he was a vicar!

MarkH (MarkH), Tuesday, 24 August 2004 07:41 (twenty-one years ago)

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Thursday, 26 August 2004 16:26 (twenty-one years ago)

cindy's picture looks like a great album cover, but to what sort of music i am not sure

mookieproof (mookieproof), Thursday, 26 August 2004 16:49 (twenty-one years ago)

That's what I was thinking. It could work for lots of genres, I guess.

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Thursday, 26 August 2004 16:51 (twenty-one years ago)

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 26 August 2004 16:53 (twenty-one years ago)
