What value would there have been in redacting details after the fact? It's not like that changes anything for the subjects. Neither does pulling it completely but at least that's a solid acknowledgement of "we fucked up."

idk just showing some sort of respect, acknowledging a mistake was made, not having yr name show up on one of the most popular sites online

when u totally pull something youre removing yrself from the record, trying to make it disappear, tho obvs lol it for sure lives on other places, just feel like its more honest and is standard operating procedure most places (at least the leaving the article up w a editors note part, the redacting wld be usual)
