just made some iced coffee in my aeropress; I think this is my new routine. Aeropress over ice, add water. I should add milk but I don't have any. Coffee is so nice!

Almond milk horchata in coffee is p much the greatest thing ever. Also, instead of milk in cereal. SO GOOD.

I used to add aeropressed coffee to homemade horchata and it was indeed p much the greatest thing ever.

I had an espresso drink at a coffee shop in AZ that had horchata in it and I've been dying to make it at home ever since. Is homemade horchata hard to do?

Yes. You soak blanched almonds + rice + mexican or regular cinnamon, and then blend it, that's easy, but straining it has always been a huge pain in the ass for me and makes a mess and takes forever. It used to be worth it but if there's a bottled drink that's as good I say go for that. I'm going to try to find that stuff!

I saw a commercial for this Folger's Black Silk coffee last night during American Ninja Warrior and I am drinking a cup of instant coffee with flavored creamer in it right now and "Folger's Black Silk" sill seemed completely disgusting to me.

Also I'm back on the caffeine so I might start drinking real coffee again (I have the instant because I was doing cups of half caf/half decaf instant to work my way up).

went to my local fine coffee establishment yesterday and their espresso machine was messed up and the dude looking at it was about to load it up to take it to kansas city for repair. kind of wanted to volunteer to go along because driving an espresso machine across state lines seems like an adventure

skim milk is one of the most vile fluids on earth for sure. A skim cappuccino is like the tofurky of cappuccinos.

I was given a Nespresso for my office and it's surprisingly not awful? I don't exactly savor the espresso anyway so it's a perfectly functional caffeine delivery system that doesn't make me gag.

No nespresso is really not bad though, like at least two notches above keurig. It's sort of weird because it doesn't taste like any other coffee or espresso exactly, it has its own particular taste.

I was very skeptical re: my mom's nespresso machine, suspecting it would be no better than Keurig. It is quite a bit better than Keurig.

We have a Flavia machine at the office so I decided to treat myself to a little French vanilla and the fucking thing sprayed coffee all over my shirt and the coffee tastes like an ashtray and the name is dumber than hell.

I'm only in the office because I'm supposed to have drinks with coworkers/bosses so THANKS FLAVIA you ASSHOLE I'm going to look like a total dweeb in my coffee shirt.

(not really if the stain doesn't come out I'm buying a new shirt at lunch, fuck that noise)
