I want next season to just be about Samwell on campus fighting title IX complaints

Is It Any Wonder I'm Not the (President Keyes), Monday, 15 June 2015 14:45 (ten years ago)

Is it not illegal for Sam to just head off to college? Like if he's taken the black etc.

bureau belfast model (LocalGarda), Monday, 15 June 2015 14:47 (ten years ago)

nah, because he's doing that to remain in service to the night's watch

slothroprhymes, Monday, 15 June 2015 14:47 (ten years ago)

if he ran off somewhere, or served as maester to another family, now that would be desertion

slothroprhymes, Monday, 15 June 2015 14:48 (ten years ago)

splitting hairs perhaps but all the other "shocking" deaths made a lot of dramatic sense in hindsight--not sure Jon really does, with so much of his backstory (which is really interesting) left on the table and now a moot point. so I think he'll be back in some form. or at the very least his origins have a part to play.

ryan, Monday, 15 June 2015 14:48 (ten years ago)

Loved the mountain 2.0

ryan, Monday, 15 June 2015 14:49 (ten years ago)

the final shot shdve been of melisandre scooping up some of his blood in a cup

lag∞n, Monday, 15 June 2015 14:49 (ten years ago)

was there camera trickery going on or is whoever's playing mountain 2.0 really like eight feet tall

Merdeyeux, Monday, 15 June 2015 14:52 (ten years ago)

xpost it makes sense with all the talk of "king's blood" in the series, since Stannis' bloodline obviously doesn't cut it with the gods now

Is It Any Wonder I'm Not the (President Keyes), Monday, 15 June 2015 14:53 (ten years ago)

in a sense jon was ritually sacrificed

Is It Any Wonder I'm Not the (President Keyes), Monday, 15 June 2015 14:54 (ten years ago)

Some of the stuff the extras were shouting at Cersei was pretty strange. I'm sure I heard "motherfucker", though maybe it was "brotherfucker".

bureau belfast model (LocalGarda), Monday, 15 June 2015 15:02 (ten years ago)

i liked the guy who just yelled fuck you

lag∞n, Monday, 15 June 2015 15:05 (ten years ago)

someone def. said brotherfucker

Is It Any Wonder I'm Not the (President Keyes), Monday, 15 June 2015 15:06 (ten years ago)

Yeah definitely. Maybe he had something better prepared but got too excited.

Also it seemed like that creepy maester didn't really cover Cersei with the robe

bureau belfast model (LocalGarda), Monday, 15 June 2015 15:07 (ten years ago)

Cersei is just lucky there's no Twitter in Westeros.

bureau belfast model (LocalGarda), Monday, 15 June 2015 15:08 (ten years ago)

next season is going to be all about sansa and theon butt injuries

legendary wireless executive (Karl Malone), Monday, 15 June 2015 15:18 (ten years ago)

They'll still be mid-fall by episode 9

bureau belfast model (LocalGarda), Monday, 15 June 2015 15:27 (ten years ago)

it was kind of lol that instead of drinking something that made her blind (like in the books) Arya just starts saying "I can't see!"

Is It Any Wonder I'm Not the (President Keyes), Monday, 15 June 2015 15:31 (ten years ago)

I'm really stumped for theories about where Arya's story is going. It seems like they still want her in their service.

Robert Adam Gilmour, Monday, 15 June 2015 15:48 (ten years ago)

blind clam seller

Is It Any Wonder I'm Not the (President Keyes), Monday, 15 June 2015 16:00 (ten years ago)

pretty uncool of Jon's dire wolf to step up for Sam but to be dozing off in a corner when the shit hit the fan last night

nomar, Monday, 15 June 2015 16:03 (ten years ago)

going to be pretty hard keeping 5000 wildlings onside w/out jon snow kicking about

hot doug stamper (||||||||), Monday, 15 June 2015 18:27 (ten years ago)

The murderboob economy was booming this ep, with the boob sector advancing in the Kings Landing market, while murder made big gains on the Braavosi index.

a silly gif of awkward larping (Sparkle Motion), Monday, 15 June 2015 18:39 (ten years ago)

cersei's CGI face

hot doug stamper (||||||||), Monday, 15 June 2015 18:41 (ten years ago)

So are they going to kill one Stark per season? Is that how this works?

Jonah saying "bantering" was hilarious. He said something else amusing just after that but I can't recall it.

got excited for a sec that there was some Veep/GoT crossover happening that I was unaware of

Darin, Monday, 15 June 2015 18:43 (ten years ago)

lots of angry nerds on the twitters complaining that a pregnant lead actress didn't want to spend an extended amount of time walking around naked for their amusement

like a giraffe of nah (forksclovetofu), Monday, 15 June 2015 18:44 (ten years ago)

Do the Night's Watch really need to deal with Wildlings now? Now that they've got their land I think they won't need anyone's help anymore.

I didn't notice the cgi on Cersei at all!

Robert Adam Gilmour, Monday, 15 June 2015 18:48 (ten years ago)

If Dani had been nude last week we probably wouldn't have noticed the shitty dragon riding CGI

Is It Any Wonder I'm Not the (President Keyes), Monday, 15 June 2015 18:52 (ten years ago)

wait which Stark did they kill in seasons 2 and 4?

I Am Curious (Dolezal) (DJP), Monday, 15 June 2015 18:57 (ten years ago)

starks dead only on odd seasons

Mordy, Monday, 15 June 2015 18:58 (ten years ago)

Starks can't die in years where the Giants win the world series.

AKA Thermo Thinwall (The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall), Monday, 15 June 2015 19:10 (ten years ago)

so can we merge the two (spoilers/non-spoilers) threads now or what

Οὖτις, Monday, 15 June 2015 19:13 (ten years ago)

no they might tell us about some letter Ramsey wrote

Is It Any Wonder I'm Not the (President Keyes), Monday, 15 June 2015 19:16 (ten years ago)

if GRRM is smart he will put out the next book just ahead of the next season and make a bajillion more dollars

Οὖτις, Monday, 15 June 2015 19:24 (ten years ago)

we don't really believe stannis is dead, right? it doesn't make sense to do the cut-away just to reveal that yes, actually he did die there we just didn't feel like showing it

Mordy, Monday, 15 June 2015 19:25 (ten years ago)

xpost I'm kidding. It's not actually a spoiler anymore, but book readers have apparently being speculating for 10 years about who actually wrote a letter supposedly from Ramsey that Jon received right before he died. It said something like "My army has destroyed Stannis' army. I demand you hand over the lady Melissandre. Also my wife and my Reek are missing, give them back to me." After last night it seems likely that Ramsey actually sent it.

Is It Any Wonder I'm Not the (President Keyes), Monday, 15 June 2015 19:26 (ten years ago)

stannis is dead. haven't you seen enough gore?

Is It Any Wonder I'm Not the (President Keyes), Monday, 15 June 2015 19:26 (ten years ago)

are we allowed to speculate openly about Jon now? I'm curious if in addition to wolves he might have other...affinities...that only one other character has shown.

ryan, Monday, 15 June 2015 19:26 (ten years ago)

maybe he'll come back next season as the dreaded Ser Stoneheart

nomar, Monday, 15 June 2015 19:28 (ten years ago)

worgs into wolves, has Hodor-sized cock

I Am Curious (Dolezal) (DJP), Monday, 15 June 2015 19:28 (ten years ago)

^^^exactly

ryan, Monday, 15 June 2015 19:29 (ten years ago)

i hope Davos sticks around, i like him. maybe there will be more adventures w/him and melisandre, havent had one of those since the renly takedown in s2.

nomar, Monday, 15 June 2015 19:31 (ten years ago)

also re stannis, why'd they rush out to confirm that kit isn't going to be in the next season, that jon is 100% for sure dead, and then not discuss stannis. i'm telling u it's very suspicious he is still alive i believe stannis 4eva.

Mordy, Monday, 15 June 2015 19:33 (ten years ago)

After learning a few more spoilers today (nothing massive but I probably shouldn't have read Arya's wiki entry) I realise it really isn't safe for me even though I already knew some other bigger spoilers that haven't been on the tv show.

Robert Adam Gilmour, Monday, 15 June 2015 19:33 (ten years ago)

he gets sent elsewhere in the books and gets "entrusted" with another mission. pretty sure Davos will return next season.

let he who has not approved of the ronaldinho bottle opener cast the (sarahell), Monday, 15 June 2015 19:33 (ten years ago)

xxp - do you think that at the moment Brienne is gonna kill stannis, sansa and theon appear and disrupt the execution?

let he who has not approved of the ronaldinho bottle opener cast the (sarahell), Monday, 15 June 2015 19:35 (ten years ago)

are we up to speed now w/the books?

hot doug stamper (||||||||), Monday, 15 June 2015 19:36 (ten years ago)

no but i think brienne is not exactly trustworthy to carry out a cold-blooded execution

Mordy, Monday, 15 June 2015 19:38 (ten years ago)

They should have somehow engineered it so that Sansa and Theon land on her as she's about to land the final blow.

Rouge Trooper (dowd), Monday, 15 June 2015 19:38 (ten years ago)

i do wonder about the possibility of characters being brought back because that whole deal in season 3 w/beric and his crew would be a really, really odd side story to not bring back. i assume in the books it was used as a tablesetter for lady stoneheart?
