as definitively dead as jon snow appears to be (unlike stannis as it happens, maybe brienne missed eh) there is a magic woman with powers bestowed from a god who's been known to resurrect people hanging around.

Most dothraki left her after Drogo died and very few seem to have stuck around but they'd probably just be absorbed into the city, so you don't really see them.

Wonder if the high sparrow really expects Cersei to keep cooperating.

Yeah i am willing to bet melisandre does the same thing with Jon that the red priest did with flaming sword dude

Creators and Harrington said there is no return but I'm interested to see if they ever lie about this stuff and are able to keep it a secret. If it did get out that he was working on the show again, maybe the could say it's just a flashback.

I think the actor et al are being artful with this "Jon Snow is dead. Its final" stuff. Hes probably resurrected as Jon Targarean or some such

I suppose as a backup plan they could have shot his season 6 scenes already.

I hope Tormund gets more story again.

I think I'd be annoyed if Jon was still alive. Not sure why. As far as the 'walk of shame' didn't she do that to someone else, at least in the books?

before the walk when she was naked in the room it was some of the clumsiest switching between head shot and body double i ever saw but then they pulled out proper tv magic during the walk itself, v impressive.

i didn't even notice it was a body double, good tv magicking. it was v intense, agonizingly dragging out forever

Jonah saying "bantering" was hilarious. He said something else amusing just after that but I can't recall it.

I also loved the Varys scene. It was funny even before the last few lines.

Not to go crazy here but is Stannis definitely dead? I feel like speculation about Jon is rife but we didn't actually see Stannis dying.

The reason I think Jon will be back is because killing people is no longer a surprise on this show, they need to bring them back to life.

as painful as the scene was i didn't think it was gonna inspire #takes because it makes perfect sense given the sparrows' haughty morality and views of what women are supposed to be in their rigid faith, also their focus on extreme forms of penance of course

if he ran off somewhere, or served as maester to another family, now that would be desertion

splitting hairs perhaps but all the other "shocking" deaths made a lot of dramatic sense in hindsight--not sure Jon really does, with so much of his backstory (which is really interesting) left on the table and now a moot point. so I think he'll be back in some form. or at the very least his origins have a part to play.
