Also wondering how much of the wildlings were killed behind those doors. Looked like a lot.
― Robert Adam Gilmour, Monday, 1 June 2015 12:30 (eleven years ago)
it was really dumb of Jon to admit to killing Mance without laying out the circumstances first.
this was really bad writing. like it's a sensitive situation and he just decides to clown them by announcing he shot an arrow "through his heart", conveniently paving the way for pirate steve to show his trust for him.
also the "he may be prettier than my daughters" thing didn't work too well with that incredibly striking scandinavian-looking female wildling standing there.
― bureau belfast model (LocalGarda), Monday, 1 June 2015 12:46 (eleven years ago)
how did i miss striking scandinavians?!

so how many seasons will it take for the whitewalkers to cross the river?
― Karl Malone, Monday, 1 June 2015 13:49 (eleven years ago)
Jon admitting to killing Mance w/o context was pretty consistent with how dumb Jon's always been

Xxxxxp didn't the sparrow guy say 'mother's mercy' is what the tyrells would get if they plead guilty for their sins? I'm guessing it's not actually hugely merciful
― Blandford Forum, Monday, 1 June 2015 14:20 (eleven years ago)
probably you get sent to a nunnery way in the south where a bunch of monsters are attacking
― Is It Any Wonder I'm Not the (President Keyes), Monday, 1 June 2015 14:22 (eleven years ago)
Guessing that Cersei thinks it sounds quite nice, confesses to having Lancelot kill Robert, shagging Lancelot etc. and them discovers that it isn't actually that great.
― Blandford Forum, Monday, 1 June 2015 14:29 (eleven years ago)
lol Lancelot, thanks phone
― Blandford Forum, Monday, 1 June 2015 14:30 (eleven years ago)
idk why ppl loved that ep quite so hard but it was cool when dany revealed herself to be a revolutionary
― lag∞n, Monday, 1 June 2015 14:39 (eleven years ago)
i didn't completely understand the interaction between cersei and the...guy who i recognize but can't remember really. seems like he was hinting at some sort of move he could pull to get her out of there?
― Karl Malone, Monday, 1 June 2015 14:41 (eleven years ago)
he was being kinda coy

Is there a suggestion that Frankenmountain might be ready to go pretty soon
― Blandford Forum, Monday, 1 June 2015 14:44 (eleven years ago)
o right he did say something abt the maester right

qyburn, her disgraced former maester dude. him saying there's a way out is p much telling her "uhhh youre fucked you should probably confess," but saying "the work continues" is qyburn-code for "your zombie guardian is almost ready"
― slothroprhymes, Monday, 1 June 2015 14:56 (eleven years ago)
that said even a frankenclegane could prob be defeated somehow i highly doubt that it just singlehandedly kills all of cersei's 9 zillion enemies
― slothroprhymes, Monday, 1 June 2015 14:57 (eleven years ago)
Trial by combat?
― Blandford Forum, Monday, 1 June 2015 15:01 (eleven years ago)
Can imagine Qyburn sitting on Mountain's shoulders and throwing dangerous chemicals.

Trial by combat is such an unfair advantage for the people who have access to giant grunts

really enjoyed seeing cersei licking water off the floor. she is the worst, i hate her.
― ian, Monday, 1 June 2015 16:26 (eleven years ago)
lol
― lag∞n, Monday, 1 June 2015 16:27 (eleven years ago)
Cersei scene made me think of KISS's "Lick It Up" so that was some kind of positive. The battle scene was a pleasant surprise, although I don't think they shot it very well - all those abrupt/jump-cut shots of people bludgeoning each other, that's not how you do a well-orchestrated battle scene imo
― Οὖτις, Monday, 1 June 2015 16:31 (eleven years ago)
i think the point was that it was m/l a one-sided bloodbath rather than a battle
― slothroprhymes, Monday, 1 June 2015 16:33 (eleven years ago)
sure
why can't zombies go in the water?
― Οὖτις, Monday, 1 June 2015 16:34 (eleven years ago)
maybe they dissolve.
― ian, Monday, 1 June 2015 16:35 (eleven years ago)
they should just walk along the ocean floor underneath the boats then when the boats arrive at their destination the zombies just walk up out of the water behind them "oh hai"
― Οὖτις, Monday, 1 June 2015 16:35 (eleven years ago)
it chills them to the bone ha ha

if a dude (the night's king) who only needs to go flicka the wrist to raise fresh dead from the fields solely as a parting troll gesture wanted to kill everyone then and there, he prob would have
― slothroprhymes, Monday, 1 June 2015 16:40 (eleven years ago)
its seems like the white walkers r gonna be hard to defeat only dragons prob cld do it
― lag∞n, Monday, 1 June 2015 16:42 (eleven years ago)
i bet dragon glass, valarian steel, and dragon fire all kill white walkers
― lag∞n, Monday, 1 June 2015 16:43 (eleven years ago)
seems like normal fire should work on the normal zombies tho
― anonanon, Monday, 1 June 2015 16:44 (eleven years ago)
isn't there another valyrian blade out there? who has it? jamie? or bronn or brienne? i can't really remember.
― Mordy, Monday, 1 June 2015 16:44 (eleven years ago)
Xpost #killallwhitewalkers
― Is It Any Wonder I'm Not the (President Keyes), Monday, 1 June 2015 16:45 (eleven years ago)
jamie and brienne each have ones that were melted down from the very big sword i think
― lag∞n, Monday, 1 June 2015 16:46 (eleven years ago)
brienne and jon have them, jaime took the one that was supposed to be joffrey's i think, a handful of other lords have them
tyrion had a valyrian steel dagger but its prob long gone
― slothroprhymes, Monday, 1 June 2015 16:47 (eleven years ago)
eddard's valyrian sword was melted down into 2 by twyin and he gave them to jamie and joffrey. jamie gave his to brienne, and i guess tommen has joffrey's now.
― mizzell, Monday, 1 June 2015 16:49 (eleven years ago)
they will prob need another sword or two
― bureau belfast model (LocalGarda), Monday, 1 June 2015 16:50 (eleven years ago)
And valyrian steel is a special kind of... treatment of normal steel? Folding process? A totally different set of alloys?
― Mordy, Monday, 1 June 2015 16:52 (eleven years ago)
it's magic! since the doom of valyria no one knows how to make more.
― mizzell, Monday, 1 June 2015 16:53 (eleven years ago)
white walkers stuff was intense & v v dope
it's like "welp, it was a p good plan Jon Snow but here let me show you exactly how fucked you are"
― difficult-difficult lemon-difficult (VegemiteGrrl), Monday, 1 June 2015 16:55 (eleven years ago)
they used to build shit in westeros - now they're importing steel from the east.
― bureau belfast model (LocalGarda), Monday, 1 June 2015 16:55 (eleven years ago)
winter is winter
valyrian steel obv made of dragons duh
you can probably kill white walkers by throwing Stone Men at them
― Is It Any Wonder I'm Not the (President Keyes), Monday, 1 June 2015 16:56 (eleven years ago)
the only thing stopping them from killing the undead was the lack of a way of making sharp enough swords
― ogmor, Monday, 1 June 2015 16:59 (eleven years ago)
iirc it's forged in dragon fire
― tsrobodo, Monday, 1 June 2015 17:06 (eleven years ago)
does a have a real world counterpart where during the middle ages smelting techniques were more advanced in parts of asia than europe and the steel was imported and v expensive and a big tech advantage for those who had it
― lag∞n, Monday, 1 June 2015 17:06 (eleven years ago)
asian dragons are significantly better for forging steel than european ones
