I hated Violet early on but I don't have a problem at all with her winning. Couldnt really say why except that Violet is young and still has the potential to become even more than she is; her fashion vocabulary is ridiculous & i have really grown to love her confidence & posi vibes in recent episodes.

I think after Bianca everyone was sure Ginger would take it but Ginger doesnt have the kindness of spirit that Bianca has, and I dunno that she has potential for growth? she feels fully formed to me, and i dont think ru necessarily is looking for that, talented though she may be

She is amazing and talented and fierce as fuck but congenial she ain't

there was no way we were going to get a comedy queen crowned for the 3rd consecutive year. i pretty much stopped caring after katya was eliminated but i'm not at all surprised at violet's win.

i mean, she's gorgeous, young, and confident with a strong runway game but not much else. see also: tyra sanchez

I loved the finale and laughed a lot!

I too had lost interest after Katya was eliminated, but of the top 3 I was definitely team Violet. She just has so much natural talent at such a young age it's very impressive. I thought her performance last night was the best and suggests she has more to offer than runway, as did her growth througout the season. The crowd at the bar I was at was definitely on her side too.

Ginger should've had this in the bag but really burned herself in the last couple of episodes. It seems that even though she's a pageant queen, she's the one who couldn't handle this competition.

i'm not sure violet has a talent beyond "looking fierce" which is a nice talent but traditionally the winners of this show have been done a lot more than that

raja is basically fierce face face body face runway, tyra was 100% runway; even bebe is runway

i think the expectation that they are always going to be sharon/jinx/bianca is understandable, but i personally dont want every queen to be a one woman broadway show

and ginger was not the "all that" that everyone acts like she is

& even for being a pure runway queen, violet's aesthetic is so boring

I'd say that Pearl was ahead of the game in overall personality, but every once in awhile, the ruthless overachiever has to be given the crown. This final 3 was basically a dead heat, so.

And I keep having to question how much of my love for Pearl was based, as per the Bianca read in the recap, on how fucking hot she was as a boy.

Loved this season, but Violet winning is the most wtf since the Other Tyra. (BTW Logo TV you kind of spoiled me by having a thumbnail of Violet getting crowned on the video page.) Do not at all get the reaction to Ging Is Mean movement, and I know that all reality shows boil down to popularity contests, but I don't think any of the critical things Ginger said over the course of the season was beyond the pale or at all remarkable.

The solo lip syncs were a terrible idea, I just watched the backup dancers most of the time.

solo lip-sunch would have been worth it if ru had cleared the rights to songs people actually knew & enjoyed, rather than using original songs nobody will ever care about.

Vivienne Pinay was on Face/Off this week (out of drag as Michael)

He got a makeover with his partner & got married on stage which was cool! but omg the makeover was sooooo bad. I felt awful for him! He is so gorgeous out of drag & he looked sad & gross :( He should have kicked the artists off & done it himself!

oh and it was kinda extreme drag makeup too which made it even worse.
