it's empty and has been for some time, which may have been tywin's only weakness (aside from not understanding that his dwarf son was his only decent thing) - he was always scrambling to make alliances and keep the lannister financial instability hidden

I presume being touched by stone men on your clothes is okay. From the debate I've seen, apparently Jorah is already able to infect other people. Hope they were wrong. Even in a cruel fantasy world I like some little bit of fairness and fighting chances.

I'm not sure why Stannis did nothing while Jon decided to let the wildlings loose -- didn't he just kill their leader for wanting to do that? Won't they want his head?

<3 Stannis's grammar pedantry.

The scenes in the ruined city were amazing.

It was funny watching this directly after the latest Mad Men where Don corrected a kid on his bad grammar a couple of times.

So the episode's title, Kill the Boy, is Westeros' equivalent saying for 'man up'?.

The director could have filmed the naked actress from a more flattering angle, rather than from the one where her you see hip bone jutting out. And setting up another jealous lover storyline, involving Sansa in the middle of it, just feels really blah. So, I hope they are not just doing that.
Though I did like Sansa's Silence of the Lambs walk down into the kennels.

Sam and Gilly bore me.

I don't think it was unflattering. Nothing wrong with a bit of jutting hipbone.

The director could've also said 'Winterfell looks really fucking cold so no I don't think she would've just been looking out of the window nude however unhinged she's meant to be'.

I've always been curious about how they cast the Frey women and the girl Theon slept with on the boat. The Frey women are always regarded as ugly by other characters and Theon told the girl not to smile because he didn't like her teeth.

Also in Mad Men when Megan says some people disliked her teeth. How did they bring that up with the actress?

Part of the job to suck shit like that up I guess. Sure Jessica Pare knows she's extremely attractive despite the teeth.

But Don Draper and some ilx people love her teeth.

Also, in the case of Jessica Pare it seems like the Mad Men scene about the teeth was based on the appearance of the actress and not that they had a casting prerequisite for someone who had teeth not everyone would like.

For the Frey women I wonder if it was as simple as "we're looking for unattractive women"?

xpost i've always wondered how people cast that kind of thing - i guess after a while "yeah i can do ugly" just becomes part of your actor's cv.
