He did win but Bingham has been on top, sharing the last mini-sesh 2-2.
In the mid-break they were talking about Barry Hearn's first five years and a Bingham victory is almost the culmination of that. This nowhere guy at the right place, gets the matches and tournaments he needs, plays in all of them (unlike Ronnie and some of the others he doesn't whine about commitments/traveling away), improves into a match player that is good enough and hungry enough to knock out Ronnie and Judd and absolutely beat the shit out of Murphy this afternoon.
Only thing that can stop him is this break between sessions/thinking out too loud.

Murphy has been awfully pleasant throughout the tournament. Makes it impossible to hate him or wish him ill, really. Probably much better that way. Been an amazing final.
