dumpling aficionado you are not
Boy am I pissed right now. Went through the drive thru to get a chilli and a diet coke. Only to get to my destination to find out no spoon in the bag and the soda is a regular coke. I'm in my car with now nothing to drink because it was supposed to be diet and a cup of chili and no spoon. Thumbs down Wendy's. Maybe you need to retrain your employees.

Avoid this place at all costs. Ordered a pretzel bacon cheeseburger and instead got simply a pretzel bun with a burger patty on it. Totally plain. The location and look of the employees tells you everything you need to know. I would be willing to bet that not one employee has washed their hands in the last month. Needless to say I threw my "food" away.
― 😂 (am0n), Monday, 18 May 2015 18:33 (eleven years ago)
Perversely that made me crave Wendy's for lunch.

Worse Wendys I ever have been to.
Food is not fresh. Not cooked well. Service is slow.

This is what I get for Googling to see if Billy Cobham had ever put out an album called "Ham on the Cob" I guess.

Polish that up a little and you'd have a beautiful quid/ag NYT piece on the decline of service in five star restaurants.

About 4 minutes go by (this is actually a LONG time when you are waiting for a hot meal) and I quietly said to my mom "Where is my entree?"
i've got a feeling jaime m. has never said anything quietly to anyone in her entire life

We order a margarita that came suuuper week, so we complaint with her about it, off course she said nothing could be done, so we decided to order a shot of tequila on the side to drop into the drink, she stated the dropping the shot in the drink was against 'their rules', she brought the shots and said we had to drink in front of her!!! HOW DARE WAS SHE!!! What the heck?! If you are paying for your shot you drink the way you want! So stupid, saying that we would not take the shot to not get crazy, we returned the shot to the 'smart ass' waiter and walked to the bar, bought two shots, brought it back to the table and added to our weak margarita. My friends son, 23 year old had a heat, back words, security came in saying to fix the heat or leave. We asked why, what's the problem, he said that they see it as a disrespectful action towards them and they don't tolerate that... Whatever.

I'm noticing for hotel reviews on Yelp/Priceline that "it's in a bad part of town" is shorthand for "a place where some poor people might live" srsly learned to start ignoring that part and just focus on the amenities/does it have bedbugs.
yet I feel like in the realm of one to two star hotels, I have yet to find one review where someone doesn't claim they got bedbugs, sooooo...
― Hammer Smashed Bagels, Friday, 31 July 2015 03:34 (ten years ago)
like everybody says the hotel I'm in right now was in a 'bad part of town' on Yelp and I'm here and it totally isn't! it's just a college area like any other state! and there was a kickass restaurant right next to the hotel! fuck you Yelpers! FUCK 2 YOU!!!

Yelp is useful for "what around here isn't completely terrible" and not much beyond that

IDK, I find great value in finding the least worst place to go. I'd miss it if it was gone.
― Jeff, Friday, 31 July 2015 10:57 (ten years ago)
Yeah, I think you can learn to read Yelp pretty well and use it to find places in towns you don't know, but never literally. The key is to look at restaurants you do know in a few different places, and then you get a feel what what praise is really damnation and vice versa.
