3rd division's not bad :-)

Do you still get points for the record shop staff if you see them in the record shops? The 'Hurley from Lost' HMV guy should be included.

Um "Thursday, April 27, 2006" :-/

Onimo (GerryNemo), Thursday, 17 November 2005 14:07 (twenty years ago)

why did you see that, cozen?

it's awful

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 17 November 2005 15:49 (twenty years ago)

Is it just me or is this thread taking an order or magnitude longer to load since JW's shenanigans?

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Thursday, 17 November 2005 15:57 (twenty years ago)

someone posted it on ILM

: /

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 17 November 2005 16:01 (twenty years ago)

It's taking ages to load. I think something's going to break.

Onimo (GerryNemo), Thursday, 17 November 2005 16:43 (twenty years ago)

we're only halfway there

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 17 November 2005 16:45 (twenty years ago)

Not worth a thread outwith this one, but I'd just like to raise a glass to that nice wee old man who fires the one o'clock gun at Edinburgh Castle, who has died at the age of 60. He's as much part of Hogmanay as Rikki Fulton used to be. RIP, Tam The Gun.

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 17 November 2005 19:17 (twenty years ago)

Somebody did Glasgow Indie Eye Spy booklets and dished them out at Pop League about two years ago. Sorry.

Mädchen (Madchen), Thursday, 17 November 2005 21:05 (twenty years ago)

I think it was the same person

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 17 November 2005 21:18 (twenty years ago)

And doctor cock didn't exist then, so it wasn't a very fun game. I disagree with their league structure.

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 17 November 2005 21:20 (twenty years ago)

Is it the person I think it is?

Cathy (Cathy), Thursday, 17 November 2005 21:49 (twenty years ago)

I don't know

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 17 November 2005 22:12 (twenty years ago)

We went to the Cameo this evening. If you haven't been for a while, it's worth going just to remind yourself that it stinks. Literally. The main screen smells of damp so badly the freezing night air was blessed relief. So while I'd be sad if it disappeared, and christ knows Tollcross does not need a super-pub for students to tank up in before going to those shit nightclubs round the corner, if they haven't got money to fix whatever is obviously very wrong with the fabric of the building, something's going to have to change or it'll be pretty much unusable shortly.

alext (alext), Thursday, 17 November 2005 23:01 (twenty years ago)

i just played 2 sides of a C90 waiting for this thread to open.

jed_ (jed), Thursday, 17 November 2005 23:52 (twenty years ago)

even with the display last 50/20/whatever answers?

RJG (RJG), Friday, 18 November 2005 01:04 (twenty years ago)

Chr1s G1lmour, yes. Boring.

Ally C (Ally C), Friday, 18 November 2005 01:37 (twenty years ago)

RJG, aye.

jed_ (jed), Friday, 18 November 2005 01:50 (twenty years ago)

I finished Sonic the Hedgehog waiting for it to load. But I'm on a Mac, which is doubtless why.

stet (stet), Friday, 18 November 2005 02:40 (twenty years ago)

Timed it: It took two minutes to post that last comment, and two and a half to reload the thread. That's with settings at "last 50 posts".

stet (stet), Friday, 18 November 2005 02:44 (twenty years ago)

I can no longer load this thread at work -- it times out!

So seriously, do we need to 'try glasgow some more'?

alext (alext), Friday, 18 November 2005 05:36 (twenty years ago)

RJG will consider it his greatest defeat and there have been so many.

Alba (Alba), Friday, 18 November 2005 07:23 (twenty years ago)

I'd be in favour of making any new thread about a different city.

Alba (Alba), Friday, 18 November 2005 07:24 (twenty years ago)

wrote a novel waiting for the thread to reload

cozen (Cozen), Friday, 18 November 2005 07:42 (twenty years ago)

i lived my entire life, died, was reincarnated as myself, died again, was reincarnated for myself as a third time (how unlucky can you get?) and ate a slap-up tea in the time it took me to think of this deeply unfunny response.

seriously: i can live with waiting for the thread to open. it adds to the anticipation. but if glasgow is borking ILX, even slightly, that would be a bad thing. however, i have no idea whether it is or not.

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Friday, 18 November 2005 11:44 (twenty years ago)

I started reciting the value of pi and REACHED THE END before this thread loaded.

Patience is a rare commodity these days, this thread allows us to relearn waiting.

Onimo (GerryNemo), Friday, 18 November 2005 11:52 (twenty years ago)

I saw continents boil into the oceans and nameless horrors swoop over the earth by the light of dying suns while this thread loaded.

alext (alext), Friday, 18 November 2005 12:22 (twenty years ago)

this thread is useful

RJG (RJG), Friday, 18 November 2005 12:47 (twenty years ago)

If a new thread is started, I really would like Glasgow to have a capital letter at the beginning.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller 68), Friday, 18 November 2005 12:58 (twenty years ago)

Indie I Spy is a missed opportunity, I think. No places, no non-performers, no questions.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller 68), Friday, 18 November 2005 13:05 (twenty years ago)

glasgow doesn't need a capital!

RJG (RJG), Friday, 18 November 2005 13:23 (twenty years ago)

and the capital doesn't need Glasgow!!!

alext (alext), Friday, 18 November 2005 13:25 (twenty years ago)

bingo!

RJG (RJG), Friday, 18 November 2005 13:26 (twenty years ago)

i have looked at this thread, once or twice, and had no trouble with it loading.

Theorry Henry (Enrique), Friday, 18 November 2005 13:28 (twenty years ago)

yes, it loads pretty instantaneously for me, too

RJG (RJG), Friday, 18 November 2005 13:29 (twenty years ago)

you'd assume someone would have said something by now if this massive thread was fucking shit up elsewhere, wouldn't you?

i vote we KEEP THE THREAD ALIVE FOR EVER.

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Friday, 18 November 2005 14:28 (twenty years ago)

It'll have to be alive for infinity. I just watched the heat death of the universe waiting for it to load.

stet (stet), Friday, 18 November 2005 14:56 (twenty years ago)

are you coming to chris's leaving do tonite, stet? it's in that fucking horrific hellhole next to the post office.

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Friday, 18 November 2005 15:27 (twenty years ago)

The Savoy Centre?

Alba (Alba), Friday, 18 November 2005 15:54 (twenty years ago)

o christ, I forgot. are you goin?

cobalt has gone bust, hair fans. where now for those in search of quiffage?

stet (stet), Friday, 18 November 2005 17:27 (twenty years ago)

aye, we're goin'. i'll be there 7ish. then i'm off to meet j1m and p3nny for a moaning/gossip session.

why the FUCK am i google-proofing their names? ah well.

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Friday, 18 November 2005 17:28 (twenty years ago)

Stet - I can sort you out re: cobalt with Irene's private number. Or the other one's, if you're that way inclined. She has "a chair" in another salon.

Alba (Alba), Friday, 18 November 2005 17:35 (twenty years ago)

Who's harder -- Chr1s or Madch3n? Because one of them is going to murder me ...

xpost: is she the Kiwi?

stet (stet), Friday, 18 November 2005 17:35 (twenty years ago)

Irene's Scottish. The other one has crazy hair and I didn't think she was a Kiwi but maybe. RJG will know.

Alba (Alba), Friday, 18 November 2005 17:39 (twenty years ago)

she sounded like it

RJG (RJG), Friday, 18 November 2005 18:09 (twenty years ago)

There will be no new thread.

Ally C (Ally C), Friday, 18 November 2005 18:18 (twenty years ago)

Look out Glasgow, we are being spied!

Cathy (Cathy), Friday, 18 November 2005 18:19 (twenty years ago)

CHR1S G1LMOUR, YES. BORING.

RJG (RJG), Friday, 18 November 2005 18:32 (twenty years ago)

Boring, but happy

Chris Gilmo (illman), Friday, 18 November 2005 19:07 (twenty years ago)
